Drug Enforcement Administration Nets International Arm Dealer With Ties To Terrorist Organizations

I am against gun ban. All citizens must have the right to buy or not arms to their own safety.

But if criminals and terrorists are buying arms it must not be for their safety but to hurt and kill other (maybe innocent) people. It must be stopped. Drug Enforcement Administration seems to be doing a nice job. Because these arms are not supposed only to kill "americans" but people like you and me in any part of the globe (but specially where it was appointed).

Some say that wars are prepared by US oinly to sell weapons. It´s a fantasy created by many. The real thing is this: criminals deal with criminals. Criminal countries (and even some "civilized" ) sell arms to other criminal countries (in Iraq, Russia, China, France and even Brazil sold more arms to Saddam that US).

It´s good news!

Jun 8 -- (NEW YORK) – DEA Administrator Karen P. Tandy and Michael J. Garcia, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York announced today the arrest of Monzer al Kassar, a/k/a “Abu Munawar,” a/k/a “El Taous,” an international arms dealer charged with conspiring to sell millions of dollars worth of weapons to the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC) -- a designated foreign terrorist organization -- to be used to kill Americans in Colombia.

Kassar, along with co-defendants Tareq Mousa al Ghazi and Luis Felipe Moreno-Godoy were arrested yesterday as they prepared to finalize the multimillion-dollar transaction to pay for the weapons. Kassar was arrested on the U.S. charges by Spanish authorities in Madrid; simultaneously Ghazi and Moreno-Godoy were arrested in Romania.

In reality it is bad news. It actually shows that humans ought to be granted ownership of their body and be allowed to put any damn thing into it they choose. Then drug trafficking would change to taxable commerce and out of the hands of terrorists. But the abolitionists and other do-gooders would rather risk our lives funding the terrorists with drug money rather than permit body ownership. Remember, only a small percentage of people using drugs actually cause some harm to society by drug induced action. The vast majority of social damage surrounding drugs is to the individual person using them and much more so the damaged cause to society by drug enforcement. The war on drugs is a drug called war.

I see you made it to Free Republic's attention. Congrats! You got my e-mail from yesterday I'm assuming. On an unrelated note, Indianapolis Water is asking all users to conserve due to a drought. Who wants to be this is what they (the left) go after next? Equal water rights for all!
