Brazilian left:  from victory to defeat and to victory again

A  brief presentation delivered at the Atlas Economic Research Foundation,  Washington D.C., September 15th  2005.

  

           For fifteen years the Brazilian media refused to tell the public about the "São  Paulo Forum", the controlling center of communist and pro-communist  organizations in Latin America, founded in 1990  by Fidel Castro and Luís Inácio Lula da Silva.

           Far from the public's eyes, the Forum has had time enough to prepare Lula's  ascension to the Presidency as well as to articulate it to the simultaneous  victories of the leftist parties in the neighbour countries and to the growing  power of Colombian guerillas.

           It has had also time enough to set up, under the protecting mantle of general  silence, the gigantic corruption machine that has been giving financial support  to the Brazilian Workers' Party and to other leftist organizations.

           It is not at all a coincidence that the Workers' Party politician more directly  involved in the recent corruption charges, Mr. José Dirceu, was precisely the  one that has the closest personal links to Fidel Castro and to the São Paulo  Forum. Corruption is deeply rooted in the Workers Party, not as a vulgar way for  personal moneymaking, but as a technical instrument to erode the moral basis of  capitalistic society and to fund the revolutionary strategy. These two  objectives are closely intertwined. Funded by corruption, the growth of leftist  parties strenghtens the credibility of the attacks they make against society, as  if capitalism was equally immoral without their own deliberate efforts intended  to degrade the moral standards.  

           The articulation of a variety of leftist parties in the São Paulo Forum, added  to the public's ignorance of the very existence of that organization, allows  them to follow a unified blueprint for the conquest of absolute power while at  the same time simulating a pluralism of political discourses in a normal  democratic competition.

           This shrewd strategy got to isolate the conservative parties and to deprive them  of any ideological substance, up to the point when they became inhibited to  criticize the leftist ideology as such. Some degree of leftism became the first  moral duty of every good citizen. Many conservatives turned into active allies  of the government in order to ensure themselves a humiliating political  survival. Those who had no stomach for that chose instead the strategy of  passive adaptation. They made their best to hide their convictions and to pay  large amounts of lip service to the honorableness of their adversaries' ideas.  Consistently, they tried to limit any criticisms to precise points lacking any  ideological relevance, chiefly those concerned with administrative inefficiency  and corruption, hoping these charges would so not offend any ideological  susceptibilities in the left and could perhaps obtain some support from the best  men in the left itself.

           This self-weakening strategy was condemned to failure since the beginning. It  got to destroy the conservative parties, but, when all seemed to be lost, it  suddenly turned into a mortal poison inside the government's belly. This  happened because a conservative ally of the Workers' Party, representative  Roberto Jefferson, a strange and unpredictable character, decided to commit  political suicide, confessing the crimes he and many other rightwing members of  the Parliament had comitted in exchange of government's bribes. By accusing  himself, this ambiguous type, at once a swindler and a hero, exposed the huge  government corruption machine in such a persuasive terms that nobody could any  more deny its existence.

           In the weeks that followed, the amount of attacks and evidences, including many  murder charges, grew to astronomic proportions and the government's moralistic  façade fell down at once.  

           Should we commemorate it? Of course not, because between Lula's election and the  disclosure of the government's crimes the leftist apparatus had the time and the  means to spread its agents everywhere, to tear down any consistent opposition,  to take absolute control over the judicial system, to corrupt the media, to  strenghten the Brazilian ties to Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro and to allow the  Colombian narcoguerillas to act freely in Brazilian territory under  semi-official protection. The Workers's Party may fall, but no conservative  force will rise to its place. The sole beneficiaries of the main leftist party's  disgrace are the lesser leftist parties of the São Paulo Forum, kept and  protected as in a freezer during all these years and now ready to present  themselves to the public as the new incarnation of the highest morality.  

           In order to grasp the real intentions of these parties, you should only know  that the most promising one, the PSOL, is under the ideological guidance of Mr.  Achille Lollo, an Italian terrorist who some years ago set fire to one of his  political enemies' house in Rome, burning to death his two children. The  spiritual highness of the master is the standard for the morals of the disciple.  Look at Mr. Lollo and you will see the future of Brazil.

           If now you are kind enough to hear me a few more minutes, I will tell you what  all these things have to do with Americans.

           Since the late Dr. Constantine Menges's warnings against the Lula-Castro-Chavez  "little axis of evil" were published in 2002, I have been expecting the American  government to take a firm stand against the rise of neocommunist parties in  Latin America and specially in my own country.  As I personally had been uncovering the growing tide of leftist arrogance, being  the last and only conservative voice in Brazilian big media, I was candid enough  to fancy that the powerful support my opinions were receiving from an  outstanding Hudson Institute scholar might be the sign of some auspicious  changing in the U. S. policy  towards Latin America. Perhaps the "scoundrel  times" when Clinton's Ambassador to  Brazil proclaimed Lula to be "the  Brazilian incarnation of the American dream" were at last approaching their  end.

           Instead, the American government went on and on dispensing a regular amount of  flattering accolades to Mr. Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, treating him as if he  were the very antidote to Hugo Chavez' revolutionary demagoguery and a champion  of capitalist democracy in the continent.  

           At the same time, American official agencies and billionaire foundations  continued to give full financial support to Brazilian leftists, allowing them to  pose as harmless reformers and to deceive Brazilian voters.  

           Under the best of disguises, these people went on to implement the blueprint for  general subversion designed by Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and Colombian  narcoterrorists at the annual meetings of the "São Paulo Forum".

           For Brazilian lovers of freedom, America's unbroken support for Lula  and his Worker's Party was superlatively disappointing. As the reality of a  communist conspiracy in Latin America was  concealed from the public opinion for more than a decade by Brazilian big media,  the whole country fell under Lula's spell, believing him to be some kind of  naïve Christian populist, too much unsophisticated to be conceivably mixed to a  Macchiavellian plot. The few intellectuals and journalists who knew the truth  were isolated, powerless, unable to spread it among the general public. I payed  a high price for trying to do so as a press columnist, suffering insults and  death threats for years and finally being fired from two newspapers and a  magazine. The political inspiration of the dismissals was too visible to deceive  my readers, who sent hundreds of letters protesting against the suppression of  my columns. But the letters, of which I kept copies, were never published. The  concealing of truth is never perfect unless it conceals itself.  

           Meanwhile, I and some of my colleagues did our best to use the internet as a  means to fight the massive suppression of truth. But we were few and devoid of  any financial support. We payed from our own pockets to keep the standards of  real journalism alive, while a continuous cash flow from state banks and private  corporations, both from Brazil and abroad, allowed communist and pro-communist  websites, newspapers, magazines and TV shows to flourish everywhere. When,  against all probabilities, our penniless electronic newspaper "Mídia Sem  Máscara" (Unmasked Media) was chosen by popular vote to win the second prize in  a national contest against its millionaire leftist competition, some of us could  not avoid tears dropping from our eyes. But it was only a moral victory, with no  practical results whatsoever. We were still so powerless that it was  easy for our foes to deny publicly not only the communist continental strategy  but the very existence of the "Sao Paulo Forum". They were strong enough to  triumph over truth even after we published in "Midia Sem Mascara" the complete  proceedings of the twelve meetings of the Forum, the full proof of the intimate  connections between the Worker's Party and Colombian  narcoterrorists.

           Truth was everywhere downtrodden, derided, humiliated. Rejected and isolated in  our own country, we turned our eyes to America, excited by George W. Bush's  second electoral victory and by Dr. Menges' precise diagnosis of the  situation.  

           America was our last hope,  and America failed us.  

           Now that the deep corruption in Lula's administration became visible to the eyes  of everybody and that Brazilian people are conscious of the awful trap set up to  catch them, it is due time for the American government to reassess the gain it  obtained from appeasing Lula and disregarding the true friends of America in  Brazil. President Bush is now seen by every Brazilian voter as the main foreign  supporter of the dirtiest and most despicable administration we ever had.  Leftist parties, aware that it will be impossible to save Lula's reputation, are  managing to associate the government debauchery to its American links, in order  to blame the "right" for the crimes comitted by the left. It is the most  creative strategy of dammage administration ever seen, and it is working. For a  whole decade, many Brazilians hated America because they loved Lula. Now  they hate America because they hate Lula.  

        Perhaps  there is still time to change the course of events, but action must be quick.  The crimes of the Brazilian government are neither isolated facts nor the late  results of Lula's mythical "turning to the right",  but the natural  implementation of the Worker's Party plans for total dominination, devised in  close association with Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez. Why should  America once more pay for the  misdeeds of its foes? The American government has to chose between telling the  truth or falling victim to a lie.

Here goes some chapters of the true history of the New Orleans' tragedy , whose fictitious reverse you read every day in the Brazilian media.

Louisiana is the most corrupt state of U.S.A., a kind of Workers' Party Land (the Brazilian most corrupt and Leninist party) of the North. It has been decades Federal Government has sent large amounts of money for Public Enterprises and the money disappears. Technicians had passed years alerting that the levees of Pontchartrain lake would not support a harder impact, but nobody cared.

Counting off the Oil business, the state has badly an industrial infrastructure. Millions of fat unemployees, stuffed-up by welfare-state policies, passing afternoons in rocking chairs at the verandas of their ruined houses, tanning a depressing idleness and without hope. The crime rate is the countries' highest. The sexual tourism moves the economy. Clutter, illegality, stealing, confusion: everything is prepared to the first crack in the civilizational cover that was still hiding the scene, the Louisiana staged a kind of Spielberg-sized "Lord of the Flies" play.

Two days before the breaching of the barrages, the Louisiana government, warned by the weather service, determined the evacuation of the risk areas. The intellectuals of the mainstream media had found it exaggerated, because the hurricane was still considered of a category 3, tolerable. The people believed the media and the mayor´s behavior confirmed it.

Five miles away from the zone that would hit, there is dry land, public housings, airport, public services. The population had two days to save their lives. It would take just to walk five miles. Nobody walked, nor was stimulated to this. The federal government offered the National Guard to help in the evacuation, but nobody wanted. "Our police will handle it" they say.

In the turmoil that followed it, the police in a desperation act opened the doors of the jails, liberating thousand of delinquents that soon obatined guns and spread new reasons of panic among a frightened population.

Many ares the crimes and many are the criminals in the long preparation of the tragedy, that the former will never be investigated and the latter will never be punished. The medicine, of course, is to blame the regular evildoer. George W. Bush caused the hurricane because he did not sign the Kyoto protocol. George W. Bush spent in Iraq the money to the reform of the levees. George W. Bush did not convoke National Guards in time. George W. Bush did not order the Army to help the multitude of victims, because they were black and he is a disgusting white racist.

Does it worth to say that thousand of Kyoto Protocols would not change the global weather in so little time, all because this monumental fraud release the most polluting countries in the world, China and India from any ecological guilt?

Does it worth to say that the money that went to Iraq was not the money to the reformation and even that all amount of money had gone to the reformation of the leeves, it would never be ready before the coming of the hurricane? Does it worth to say that it does not make sense to blame USA, to be in Iraq to make money and to waste money at the same time? Udoes it worth to say that the cuts of spending for Louisiana was already being done since the Clinton era and if it was stopped the cuts none leeve would be done, for it would only stuff the local politicians' pockets?

Does it worth to say that Louisiana government refused the National Guard help? That National Guard is a volunteers' organization, spread in their houses and jobs, impossible to reunite in a sufficient number for a challenge of this size in less than three or four days?

Does it worth to say that a centennial American law (Comitatus Ownership, 1879) forbids Army mobilization for any internal subject, and to change this law would generate long debates at the Congress and that George W. Bush is not the Congress?

No, it does not worth. In U.S.A., just a minimum fraction of the public opinion took seriously these calumnies that, as always, came from Jesse Jacksons and Michael Moore's mouth. In Brazil, they are considered as absolute truths.

Until the moment I write this column, Brazil is not officially among the 25 countries, the only 25, from much two hundred UN ´s members , had offered aid to the victims of the Katrina hurricane. Mr. Hugo Chavez, a insensitive sociopat, for his turn preferred to mock of corpses with a cynical offer of... oil!
U.S.A. does not need any aid from abroad. Many American cities already had been destroyed by earthquakes, fires and hurricanes. They had been reconstructed, without any outside aid, by the people whose sweated work saved the Russians, many times, to die in huge famine, and still rebuilt Germany, Italy, France, England and Japan after the war.
U.S.A. does not need nobody´s help. But, when the simple humanitarian intention is massively denied by countries that without the American aid would not even exist, the inevitable conclusion is the spread hate in the world by a brutal difamation campaign supported by Mr. George Soros did not return only against Mr. Bush and Rumsfeld, but against the American Nation as a whole: its people, its history, its values, its simple physical existence.
Americans had created a unique decent society that exists in the planet, the only one where moral, humanitarian values and mercy are still worth, where the third part of people do voluntary work to help other people, the only that feeds and supports the nations that fight against them, the only one where their own national culture rights are denied to give more space the presumptuous immigrants, the only one where even foreign bloody terrorists enprisoned in combat have the same rights of the local citizens, the only one that constantly places itself doubt with an incomparable intellectual courage, the only one where the fight for justice is the main reason, the substance of national life, the only one that conmdenm itsefl before to blame others, the only that, once winner in a war, he removed its troops immediately, leaving that the defeated ones reconquered its freedom and dignity, while its great partner of victory still remained per decades in the busy territories, with tanks, cannons and firing-squad, sucking blood of tenths of peoples while accusing the Americans for "imperialism".
The Americans had created the only nation that, judged in comparison with the others - and not with the angel-like artificial standards used by them to judge U.S , precisely to run away from the comparison which they know that they will fail --, has more reasons to be proud of that to shame.
The existence of America is a shame for the Russians, who had sworn to destroy her and had finished with their hats in the hand, begging aid. It is a shame for China, that is creating nanotechnological weapons to kill the entire US population from smallpox and tifo, but cannot use them, because it would represent the killing of golden eggs´ hen that drive millions dollars to state companies in Beijing. Is a shame for Islamic world , in despite all its beautiful religious oral tradition of a thousand-four hundred years had only created a society that was, in greater or minor measure , a live denial of Coran´s promises of freedom and justice. It is a shame for the Latin Americans, who do not support the comparison with their northern neighbor without gnawing of disdain to themselves, searching relief by the use of unthinkable low-level histrionisms and blusters.
The campaign of Mr. Soros summed all these “shames”, and throw it against America. And the campaign is working.
Therefore, for the first time in the history of the intended "international order", a fake humanitarianism, usual in the natural catastrophies, was traded by the explicit indifference, or even satisfaction smirks. The world is crowded today by Katrina lovers, as yesterday was full of Bin Laden admirers.

Brazil: Silence of the wolves (or "Silence gives consent")

President Lula da Silva has been elected in 2002 after decades of massive support from our intelectual elite. These people never saved efforts to paint Workers Party and its leader as the most ethical, untouchable & uncorruptile people on earth. Meanwhile they never stop from throwing false accusations against their enemies. But, suddenly, after the huge wave of corruption that came from the core of such "ethical" government started to wash the former "lighthouse of virtue, exposing their attack on Brazilian democratic institutions in a mob fashion, their voices disappeared from the media. This article comments the reason behind their "silence vote".

"Silencer" is a device used to stifle the detonation sound of a gun ; It also can be used to define people or groups of people who have the function to keep important eyewitnesses in silence through expedients of physical threat and moral intimidation; "Silencers" also was the term used to identify pretense Federal Agents in charge of neutralizing possible UFO´s eye witnesses, during the fifties and the sixties in U.S.A.. In Brazil we could call "silencers" all that cultural pseudo-elite whose in mission to represent a fake "Voice of Brazil", silenced its true voice.
One of their most efficient agents, who mixed a perfect influence agent with high popular music skills , declared - after decades of dedicated services to communism, especially to the Caribbean Murderer - that he will remain "in silence" on the facts of the Worker´s Party corruption. This is, Chico Buarque de Hollanda the singer, songwriter and now writer, declared that will say nothing on these events. Nothing more appropriate for the occasion. It was a shame that it happened during the infamous "Literature Journey" - a big event joining books, some good writers and a bunch of leftist militants posing as "writers" back in my hometown, Passo Fundo/Brazil - where he received some kind of award before an audience including hundreds of kids. They could have been removed from the room to avoid to listen such words.

"Chico" (a short name for Franscisco) Buarque has just joined the band called the "Quiet Silencers", a group of pseudo-regretful communist, the Maria Magdalenas from Workers Party, headed by the indefectible Marilena Chauí (a hardliner socialist acclaimed as a main "philosopher" in Brazil, the one that identified herself as an "organic" intellectual of the party). The useful silenceness from these people, specially from who always defended so intempestively the "cause", seems to have a very different meaning from the majority consent. It is not a mourn silence. By the way, as it always happens with any leftist manifestation: never buy it for its face value, therefore the damage is certain.
The silence of our daring silencers, nothing has to do with the refusal in criticizing their so loved left or a sort of "mourn" for the dead ideals. Nothing of these. I am almost certain that our heroes had decided for silence just not to do the opposite: to publicy support the party and its struggle strategy. Let me explain it: what can be more sublime for Communists than to see their party using the classic Leninist strategy to manipulate their "burgeois enemies" as partners for the construction of a powerful and totalitarian party ? Looking through this prism, Roberto Jefferson's "mensalão" (big monthly salaries paid to the congressmen in exchange of their preemptive approval of government acts, revealed by former allied coalition party leader Jefferson) could no more than a brazilian buffoonery version of "Nazi-Soviet" pact just before the WWII between Stalin and Hitler. If even Hitler betrayed Stalin when realized the big picture, so why didn't Jefferson?

The silence of these wolves (werewolves) on these events is only a pleasant way to the opposite: unrestricted support. If they dare to show their approval this moment, this could be disastrious to their image. It's better to receive their awards in silence, waiting for the moment to fight back against the "enemies" of the party.
Definitively, these acts of ritual silence from the ones that never refused to support the party has just one meaning: "Silence gives consent".

What was "Venona Project"?

In the last article I mentioned a source called "Venona Project". Here I post the origins of the Venona Project, a project that even president Franklin Delano Roosevelt never was informed about. I am afraid that is exactly the reason that it kept its secrets until the final decodifying of thousand of cables, during the eighties - hence the total contamination of FDR government with Red spies.

At the 60th anniversary of Hiroshima / Nagasaki bombings the same questions came out over and over:
"Did the atomic bombs really need to be dropped?"

I think it is a very misleading question. It follows the internatinal standard of "Blame America First", the world-wide anti-American campaign.
I know that the bombings were some of the most terrifying events in the human history, but it is time not only to remember it but to understand the root causes of those events.
And it lead directly to Pearl Harbor, the "day of infamy".

I have searched through this wonder tool called "google print" where you can take a look and search inside a huge library of copyrighted books. Amazon has a good tool to "search inside". I´ve used both. I´ve done some research about the chain of events that led to the Pacific War and found out stunning evidence of the action of the "invisible agent" again.

Yes, according to the breakthrough information leaked from "Venona Project" and the files from Moscow during the 90´s, is now clear that the level of influence of Soviet agents and American communists on the high levels of Franklin Delano Roosevelt Government office was deeper and larger than ever thought. Senator McCarthy was very humble in his indications in the 50´s : more than tree hundred agents names were found in the decodified messages from Venona. It was confirmed by Moscow Files.

The information is so relevant that I decided to create a new blog, only focused on these excerpts. The blog is named "Simply The Truth"

Here what I discovered about Pearl Harbor: one agent, named Harry Dexter White received the outlines of the infamous "Ten Point Plan" from Soviet intelligence. This draft had turned into the document America gave to Japan. It made Japan to decided to go to war against America. Soviets were glad: Japan will not attack them anymore.
Other interesting point is that URSS knew exactly the route, time, hour that Japan ha planned to attack Pearl Harbor. Even a Soviet freighter ship crossed the Japanese in the middle of the Pacific. But the "allies" never warned America.

"All people seem surprised with the state of things (the massive corruption accusations involving prominent government people, very close to president Lula da Silva) , but it was more than predictable. Since the beggining of the 90´s , when PT (Workers Party, instituted by president Lula) started to invest heavily on constructing an image of immaculate morality, I have informed that the arrival of this party to the power would inaugurate an age of corruption that would pale the glowing scandals of the previous governments. This forecast was received with such unbelief the more it was bases in facts that nobody wanted to see and in the analysis of historical antecedents that everybody would rather bury into forgetfulness.

As soon the infamous "Campaign for the Ethics in the Politics"came out, I observed that PT managed the term "ethics" with malignant astuteness, giving in public the conventional meaning of idoneousness and honor, and in its internal documents the meaning that the term possesss in the gramscist expression "Ethical state", a morally neutral expression, that does have nothing to do with virtues or sins, but only assigns, technically, a determined phase of the process of taking the power for the "New Prince", the revolutionary party. In short terms, the moralizing hopes of middle class were beeing used as donkey carrot, misleading them to collaborate with a fake enterprise "to clean up Brazil" but in reality it was just made to raise the power of the party by all means: moral, amoral and imoral.

I anticipated this , twelve years ago, in my book "the New Age and the Cultural Revolution", and later again in "the Collective Imbecile", that this Machiavellian instrumentalization of the popular yearnings would only result in more evilness and dirt, since it constitute, in itself, a bigger crime of the one than all the material acts of corruption, implying nothing more, nothing less than the complete perversion of the real meaning of the term "morality" . Something, said I, remembering an old Arab saying, is to steal in the weight of the flour, selling 750 grams for the price of one kilo. Another thing is to modify the scale so that never more it accuses the difference between 750 grams and one kilo.

The old corrupt politicians limited themselves to steal it. The PT transformed the robbery into a system, the system in political militancy, the militancy in a substitute of the laws and institutions, lowered to the condition of temporary impediments to the construction of the great utopia.

The old politicians stole for their own good, individually or in small groups, moderating the audacity of the blows from the fear of the denunciation. PT steals with a moral authority of someone , who arrogating itself the nobleness of a hypothetical future, is already forgiven a priori from all the faults of the present; with tranquillity and fearless from who that uses llicitly all possible means, they steal since they are the absolute master of all..

Any political party that turns against "the society", promising to rebuild it from the scratch – if not to reform the human nature itself – placed , instantly, above of the effective moral criteria in this society, and it cannot submit to them only in appearance, laughing to themselves, at the naivety of those who take them as a regular and loyal adversary. It is not possible to destroy the system and to obey its rules at the same time, but it's possible to use these rules just as a temporary camouflage until the destruction is completed. However, the system, as everything that is human, holds equally its dose of injustices, errors, scandals, and its parcel of morality, order, loyalty. All system consists of a precarious balance between disorder and order. No sane intelligence ignores that only it is possible to restrain or to control the former by fortifying the latter. All attempt to change the system integrally, either trough the abrupt revolutionary subversion, either trough the slow and gradual erosion of the institucional bases, starts for destroying the balance and therefore the order, under the vain promise of a future without disequilibrium nor disorder. The modesty of the objectives, the limitation of the political program to precise points that do not affect the beddings of the system, here is the mark of the honest parties - and this is not, definitively, the make of PT. The dishonesty of this party is measured by the megalomaniac amplitude of its promises."

A message from Philosopher Olavo de Carvalho

I just have received this message from Olavo. He is explaining the reasons why he got fired from "O Globo". He allowed me to share with you, because it is a relevant fact to know what is goinfg on in Brazil right now.


"Bad news from Brazil. The Brazilian newspaper O Globo fired me last Monday. This is not just a personal bad luck, but a political fact.
For years I had been denouncing by my weekly column the activities of the São Paulo Forum, while the remaining pages of the newspaper (and of every other Brazilian newspaper) kept complete silence on the subject or denied overtly the existence of the Forum or at least its political importance, so that many readers were induced to see me as a kind of lunatic conspiracy theorist.
Denial became increasingly difficult during the last weeks, inasmuch as the 12th Assembly of the Forum was realized in São Paulo from 1st to 4th July. While it was reunited in Bogota or Havana, it was easy to hide it from Brazilian eyes, but São Paulo is the largest Brazilian city. Moreover, one of the main topics of the discussions was the urgent need for the Latin-American left to support Lula and the Workers Party (PT) against the rising tide of criminal charges, including not only the endemic corruption inside government but even murder accusations (Celso Daniel, the socialist-PT mayor of the industrial town of Santo Andre, was murdered some years ago and his brother told Daniel was killed by people from his own party whose involvement in corruption he was investigating; later, SIX witnesses of the trial were also murdered by unknowns shooters).
Well, last week a member of O Globo board of directors, wrote himself an anticle where for the first time after fifteen years of silence O Globo admitted frankly the existence and the political relevance of the São Paulo Forum. Four days later I was fired.
According to deputy Roberto Jefferson (the main witness in present investigations about PT corruption), Mr. Jose Dirceu, the former number one man in Lula government and now a very important leader in the House of Representatives, boasted often of having complete hold over O Globo board of directors, owing to the huge debt the company had to state banks.
So my dismissal was not impossible to foresee. I just fancied it would take still some months to come, but the growing tide of attacks against Lula's reputation and the starting of the electoral campaing probably accelerated it.
Hundreds of protestation letters against my dismissal are been sending to O Globo (I have copies of many of them), but none of them was or will be published. Here is the evidence of the deliberated occultation of the facts.

Erasing Evidences on "Foro de Sao Paulo" : Olavo de Carvalho is out from the "Globo" Newspaper

It was predictable: Now that the "Foro de São Paulo " (an organization joining left parties+ revolutionaries in LA) is totally printable for the masses (obviously in a different and faked way from the original "leit motif"), sold as a debate club with some more or less "rebellious" participants, all those clues that lead to the real Foro de Sao Paulo has to be erased. Olavo de Carvalho is the biggest clue of all.

During the last 15 years he was the only (and the lonely) journalist that wrote on the subject, explaining what exactly meant to have a offical party as Worker´s Party in Brazil associated with Colombian Revolutionary Army (FARC) and other revolutionary forces within Foro de Sao Paulo. It meant that Worker´s Party, despite its claims on contrary, always APPROVED the way FARC fought (and still fight) against "capitalism", either kidnapping strangers either bombing innocent farmers. But don´t put all the blame on PT (as portuguese people call it "Partido dos Trabalhadores") : all the main left parties in Brazil were participants in Foro de Sao Paulo. That´s why elections in Brazil are a faked play. If all parties are under the control from de "Foro" (created by Brazil´s President Lula da Silva and Fidel Castro), it means there is no opposition at all.

What happened in "Globo" is that "Foro de Sao Paulo" is not a forbidden subject anymore. But in its democratic façade. If you are trying to disinform people you must clean all truthfull sources. During 15 years Olavo de Carvalho claims about "Foro" were listen as a conspiracy theory from a radical man.

But now "Foro" emerges from de underground. How to keep people far from the truth? Keeping them away from its source.

It will be not the first newspaper to do such "erasing" : all other periodical that would help to construct "Foro" façade must put Olavo out from its pages.

In a twisted way they succeeded in their efforts to stop Olavo to write on "Foro". At least no more on "Globo" pages. Who will be the next?

For all of us, now it´s official: "Foro de Sao Paulo" is a harmless and democratic gathering of leftist parties in LA. Just it. Olavo? Never heard of him

Other Thoughts on "Will"

After my translated article on the film "The Downfall" ("Der Untergang") was published on Majority Rights website , I had a series of readers comments on the origins of nazism. Part of it explained the Nazi roots in terms of "racial consciousness" and "will".

Studying Olavo de Carvalho workshop material on the Lavelle's "Dialetic Manual" I came across some definitions or perceptions on the matter "will" or "feeling" versus "intelligence" that fit very well on the present debate.

Excerpts from Olavo's workshop (these are not the exact terms) :
"The bad philosopher does not apprehend the limitations of the reality and the limitations of his will. He imagine the infinite as a likely possibitly again, Over and over "... "The task of the philosopher is to perceive the structure of the reality and what it is possible or not. This will make him educate his feelings and will to adjust them into of what is real and feasible."

All concepts on "will" fail to apprehend these premises.Therefore "will" is not just a matter , a subject whose studies are completely out of sight from our time's perspective (it was subject of study in the thirties) but also this is an intellectual fallacy.

The ultimate conclusion is that to leave the "will" to perform a role that belongs to the intelligence in controlling the actions of the human being, makes it to lose the correct perception of the reality.
It makes us to act in way completely dettached from the reality, as someone that thinks is possible to fly away as a bird or to have superpowers as a "superman". That is what happened in Germany during nazism: a celebration of the Triumph of the Will over Intelligence on a nation-wide scale.

Intelligence, meaning "wisdom" or the apprehension of the truth is the ultimate search of man, that begun with Plato/Socrates and Aristotle, continued with Judeo-Cristian tradition . And waht is "will" without the superior control of intelligence? Nothing but "irrationality".
Thus "will" and "racial consciousness" concepts in nazism were a kind of mythical-poetical universe structure revival. A structure that was knocked down since the emergence of Socrates in old Greece. Free of thought and free will does not have nothing to do with such "racial consciousness" or "will" concepts. They are fruits of the correct apprehension of the reality. And this search for the truth is core of what we call "conservative thought", as expressed by either Erich Voegelin, either Olavo de Carvalho. They all try to bring for the world of today the maening of the free will and its responsibilities an consequences.
"Will" is just another name for "destination", that it is the opposite to the free will.
So, concepts as "Race", "will" or "racial consciousness" are not only subjects of debate from the "Thirties". If we analyze them well, they belong to a pre-socratic universe.

Sen. Richard J. Durbin yesterday said he was "sorry" after parsing words for a week about his remarks comparing U.S. interrogators at Guantanamo Bay to those of Nazi and Soviet regimes. He apologized on the Senate floor.
"I'm sorry if anything that I said caused any offense or pain to those who have such bitter memories of the Holocaust, the greatest moral tragedy of our time," said Mr. Durbin, the No. 2 Democrat in the Senate.
"I'm also sorry if anything I said in any way cast a negative light on our fine men and women in the military. I went to Iraq just a few months ago," he said, pausing and appearing to tear up at one point during the five-minute speech. "When you look at the eyes of the soldiers you see your son and daughter. They are the best. I never, ever intended any disrespect for them. Some may believe that my remarks crossed the line. To them, I extend my heartfelt apologies."
Senators from both parties said Mr. Durbin's apology should be the end of the controversy that began a week ago.
On June 14, Mr. Durbin, after reading an FBI agent's letter describing interrogation techniques at the military detention center at the U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, said on the Senate floor, "If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime -- Pol Pot or others -- that had no concern for human beings. Sadly, that is not the case. This was the action of Americans in the treatment of their prisoners."
His remarks were condemned by veterans groups, the Anti-Defamation League and even Richard Daley, the Democratic mayor of Chicago, who earlier yesterday called on Mr. Durbin to apologize.
Mr. Durbin on Friday issued a statement expressing his "sincere regret if what I said caused anyone to misunderstand my true feelings" of support for the troops. He said yesterday he thought that clarified the issue, but realized that "to many people it was still unclear."
Democrats had rallied to Mr. Durbin's defense, with most calling the attention to the remarks a Republican attempt to divert attention from their agenda.
And early yesterday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi refused to denounce Mr. Durbin's initial comments. At a press conference she called to demand creation of a commission to investigate detainee abuses at U.S. facilities throughout the world, she said Mr. Durbin's comments are one reason to have a commission.
"The fact is that Mr. Durbin's comments point to the need for an independent commission," she said. "What are the facts, how do we make judgments about how to change what is going on there, close Guantanamo or clean it up, but the status quo ... is not acceptable."
In his floor speech yesterday, Mr. Durbin did defend his remarks from a week ago, calling them "legitimate concerns that others have raised, including Secretary of State Colin Powell, about the policies of this administration and whether they truly do serve our needs to make America safer and more secure."
Throughout the last week, Mr. Durbin and fellow Democrats continued to blame the press, talk radio and The Washington Times in particular for focusing on his initial statement.
"The Washington Times, a very conservative, Republican newspaper, puts a front-page story about me on there. The White House lashes out to me, and pretty soon the mainstream media, it just follows," Mr. Durbin told WGN radio in Chicago on Friday.
Yesterday, after his floor speech, Mr. Durbin said he did not want to talk about that charge. "I'm not going to go into that," he said.
Immediately after Mr. Durbin's remarks, Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, and Sen. Joe Lieberman, Connecticut Democrat, said that should be the end of the discussion. Mr. Lieberman said trying "to fester this some more is doing a disservice to the Senate and to our country." Mr. McCain said the apology was the "right thing, the courageous thing, and I believe we can put this issue behind us."
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, Tennessee Republican, released a brief statement calling Mr. Durbin's apology "a necessary and appropriate step."
Sen. Trent Lott, who lost his job as majority leader in 2002 for comments at the 100th birthday party for Sen. Strom Thurmond, said hours before Mr. Durbin's latest apology that he should consider resigning as minority whip over his remarks.
Senate Republicans pushed Mr. Lott out of his leadership post in December 2002 after saying that the U.S. could have avoided "all these problems" if the then-segregationist from South Carolina had been elected president in 1948.
At the time, the Mississippi Republican issued an apology, saying his kind words about Mr. Thurmond were not an "endorsement of his positions 50 years ago," and a "poor choice of words" -- the latter the exact phrase Mr. Durbin used yesterday.
"I had my problem, but mine was totally in jest," Mr. Lott said yesterday afternoon. "His has serious consequences. I think he should consider resigning from his leadership position."

The Defeat of the Will: an analysis on the film "Downfall"

A week ago I went to a mall to watch the film "Downfall”("Der Untergang"), a skillful reconstitution of the last days of the nazist regime and its creator - Adolf Hitler in Berlin, 1945. With an outstanding performance from Swiss actor Bruno Ganz as the Führer (and the rest of the cast too) the film is superb.

I wanted to have written about it before, but this film excited a series of thoughts in me - I must say "perceptions" - that they had to be quarantined for a while until I could framed them more accurately. These perceptions simply struck my thoughts as unconscious hyperlinks that I had to follow. I took time to know why my mind lead me to them, but I finally found out. The perceptions I perceived was a set of signals, metaphors and “insights” that unfolded the subtle meaning of nazist regime to me. Let me explain that I don´t intend to explain the efficient or material causes of the national-socialism. Simply I dare to write, what it was, at least what it seemed to me.

The great revelation of this film for me was the perception that if all socialist-communist-facist-totalitarian regimes were in some degree a substitution of the natural religion for a “state religion”, nazism was the substitution of the judaism, transformed into a kind of "state judaism". But this "state judaism" would have in common with the original one as much as a black mass would have to do with catholic mass: equal values with a minus signal. A satanic counterfeit of the former, in fact.

This imitation – an “ersatz” as the robotic Maria from “Metropolis” - wanted to assume the cultural and religious identity of the original model for good, even if the complete destruction of its model was necessary.

Germany after WWI was in need of the same strenght that made Israel to stand tall before her captors in Egypt and Babylon, that defeated Hitites and other ancient nations in middle east; The same kind of power source that made Israel, her people, culture and tradition lasted for centuries.

It was the objective nazism was trying to achieve, with a capital difference: while Israel had the Yaveh´s favor to remain herself together, the god of the Third Reich was the national-socialism.But this god was also was a monoteistic god, therefore it would not permit no other belief or faith unless itself. This is the key to understand nazism.

Another parallel nazism/judaism was on the subject of "race": Jews are usually known by the gentiles as a breed apart, another kind of race. If Jews was gave the God´s favor, only to another “race” would be given a similar favor. That´s why the concept of Arian race was so important under nazism.

In national-socialist “new order”, Hitler would be the "Führer" (leader). He would be the incarnation of the "Prince" from Macchiavelli, because he managed to eliminate his inspirers - in the case the Jews- exactly as Macchiavelli had predicted. But this "prince" also added a new feature, he would be a Darwinist version of Macchiavelli´s Prince. And this link – Darwinism – is the most recurrent link.

The firm belief in the Social-Darwinism values inside the body of of nazism is cleared by the film. It is repeated over and over again during the screening, confirming that communism and nazism wer a kind of siamese brothers. In the movie for example, Goebbels condemns the German people to their own luck (that meant the death of hundreds of civilians), therefore the German people had shown weak to hinder the allied invasion, and was too weak to deserve the glory of the national-socialism. If you remember that old darwinist absurd tautology that prayed for the "survival of the fittest” but “only the fittest survive”, you are right. And there are dozens of phrases like this on film. Believing in such tautologies, destination of nazism (and the nazis) could not be different. By their own rules they failed to prove themselves as “fittest” for the mission they had started.

Also the fact Hitler had finish his days in a bunker, underneath the surface of earth, far from the light of the sun was a sign too. The truth is national-socialism always lived inside of a bunker, isolated from the light and fresh air. The perfect (and the only) culture broth to nazism to raise. There were moments that this ideological “bunker” had the size of the Europe, but it was not more a reality. In his decaying empire, Hitler asked , facing the alternative of leaving Berlin, "what the Führer would do hidden in a village?". He knew the answer: “Führer” would not exists in a natural environment, without all the imperial apparatus that surrounding him. The ideological bunker had become real. And there was no escape from it .

It can be seen in the most significant scene from the film - and the one that has more resemblances with Judeo universe. It was the scene related to the fate of Goebbels´ family.If on the book of Genesis, God order Abraham to not take Isaac in sacrifice on the very last moment, to the National-Socialism god, there was no mercy. There was no way out but the “final solution”.

But all the tragedy didn´t serve to pulled out the roots of national-socialism from the surface of the earth: they continued to grow, deeper and deeper, and their tree is ready to give “new” fruits.

Asymmetrical debate - OLAVO DE CARVALHO (Philosopher)

The North-American political debate has two opposing streams of thought, with very well differentiated points of view, on politics, economics, morality, culture and religion. On one side, "liberals"”, or leftists, with their program of state interventionism, assistance for all, secularism, feminism, multiculturalism, pro-choice-ism, etc. On the other side we have the "conservatives"”, with their defense of economic freedom, federalism, individual independence and Judeo-Christian moral values.

They are two complete world-visions that oppose each other in all fields of thought and action, in a more or less balanced way, with an advantage to the left in the mainstream media and the cultural establishment, and an advantage for the right on the Internet and radio (Rush Limbaugh alone, for instance, has 38 million daily listeners, surpassing in audience all the chic leftist periodicals out of New York).

These two systems of thought correspond to two geopolitical orientations - the left is globalist, and the right nationalist - and there are two projects of government clearly differentiated: the project of world-wide government via the U.N. versus the "new American century" of George W. Bush (I will say more about that in a later article).

Further, these two projects have clearly distinct support sources: From one side, George Soros and mega-foundation types like Rockefeller and Ford; from the other side, the petrol industry and the "“new money" , as Ronald Reagan called it, from thousands of small capitalists on the make. Although the borders of these two fields do not fully coincide with the line dividing Democrats and Republicans, the American public easily recognizes one spokesman from another one and understands the nature of what is at stake in this game. And what is at stake is not only the U.S.A´s fate but humankind´s: the North-American political struggle expresses perfectly the options that humankind faces at the beginning of this century.

This is far different of what´s going on in Brazil, where the political debate features a totally non-symmetrical struggle.

The dominant left, as with icounterpartn counterart, fights on all fronts - from economic policy to gay marriage -—with inexhaustible persistence and aggressiveness. Its conservative adversaries, however, come up with an almost ashamed defense of offended group interests or go in for limited criticism on a legal-administrative level with no ideological content. At their boldest, all they can do is argue in favor of a free market economy. On all other points of division they totally forbear to speak or fall in line as soon as possible with the leftist secularist causes, pretending that educational, moral, cultural, philosophical, religious or civilizational questions have nothing to do with a confrontation that is in essence economic. The first result that they get from that is that they sound ridiculous when they accuse Marxism as "economicist"”. The second result is that they convince the crowd that all capitalists just think about money, while their socialist counterparts are worried about questions of philosophical and humanitarian values. The third result is that, unlike the American debate, the national debate here only serves to dig deeper the abyss between Brazil and the universe of history, helping the leftist establishment to enclose the country more and more within a limited circle of ideas. The fourth result is a little subtler, but not less disastrous. Because the socialists have given up on goals such the total nationalization of the economy, conceding the necessity to give space to private companies, the defense of the market economy is easily absorbed and proclaimed by the leftist establishment too , so that they can give lip service to each word of liberal economic ideals without doing or representing any harm to themselves. But without its cultural, moral or religious substance, liberal economic speech can become nothing more than an unconscious form of collaborationism.

The redemption of this country depends on the adepts of the capitalist economy losing their hesitancy to defend, not only the market economy but also the moral, cultural and religious values that made the rise of the market economy in the U.S.A. and Europe possible.

From reading my previous article, one must not imagine that the strategy for global cultural change is simply a sordid trick invented by a group of conspirators to achieve socialism indirectly and smoothly. It is right the opposite. The very point of socialist worldview has been moved from the economic axis to the cultural;
better saying, to the civilizational axis.

Since the 40s, the recurrent impossibility of creating a working socialism has caused repeated concessions to the market economy and weakened the ambition of a radical elimination of private property amongst activist intelligentsia.

Considering the best brains of the left, the substitution of orthodox socialism for an effort of "saving" the socialist "ideals" from the debrys of state economy dates far before the fall of USSR. The first Frankfurtians already had enormous despise for the soviet experience. They gave their backs to economy and struggled to create a new general civilizational concept. The "New Left" of the 60s hardly talked about economic planning: they only wanted to deal in racial hustle, sexual liberation, anti-americanismo, feminist revolt, etc. Meanwhile, in the UN, crackpot Robert Müller conceived new paramenters of education, inspired by the American seer Alice Bailey who in her turn was guided by infallible extraterrestrial gurus. His parameters have been adopted worldwide today for the better conforming of the new generations to the planetary socialism of his dreams.

The socialization of economy, by becoming the fruit instead of the root of the "new man", is not a priority. That is why that Mr. Luis Inacio da Silva (Brazil's President) can naïvely declare that neither he nor his comrades know what kind of socialism they intend to achieve. The indefinition in social-economic objectives contrasts so much with the coherence with the practical organization of the world Left, with the uniformity
to the "moral" and cultural values that guide it, that the da Silvian's statement can be considered a Freudian slip, revealing the underlying intention – possibly almost unconscious – to postpone to an undefinite future the socialization of economy, prioritizing in chronology the militant organization for the conditioning of the
popular masses in the criteria and values of the "new civilization".
Socialist power affirms itself in psychology and moral, education and law, letting the formula for the salvific economy as the variable of the equation, being shaped little by little as the process of global transfiguration of mentalities advances.

The radicals who get impatient, longing for an old-fashioned brutal interventionism do not understand the subtlety of the new strategy. This does not mean, though, that they are of no help, since they play the part of stirring up the process, knowing or not that the energy they use is previously measured and channeled by international strategies far more intelligent than a billion Ze Rainhas. Claiming for "socialism" cannot eliminate the contradictions of socialist economy, but it helps keeping the masses in the proper mood. When the load of reality gets too heavy on the donkey's back, it is necessary to cheer the pet up showing the carrot of utopia.

Postponing socialist economy has yet the great advantage of gaining the support for its construction of many capitalists. Under the conforting claim that "socialism is over", conceited rich people sponsor the installation of socialist culture, betting that, in the short term, it will not bring them any substantial harm. On the way,
capitalism is not eliminated, but virtually criminalized while at the same time it prospers from the material perspective. In schools, books, on TV, capitalists are exposed to public despise and offense, but because they are tolerated and supported by the same governing leadership that mocks them, they still keep the hope to survive by flattery and adulation. Thus, it is not certain that one day state economy will be achieved, but it is certain that until then, capitalism, or whatever remains of it, will become an ocean of iniquities.

For hundreds years, men have been attracted by some magical objects: The Holy Graal, The Philosopher´s Stone, The Ark of the Covenant.. In modern times, rocked by industrial era and the science fiction, new objects or goals were added to the list: space travel, time travel and the invisibility. Some of them were achieved: Yuri Gagarin went out of space in the fifties, time travel became reality in “Back to the Future I, II & III” and finally the invisibility is in use by the soviets since 1991.

Where did you think all those communist go ?

Excuse me for the ironic introduction to the core of my post, but I consider nowadays very difficul to speak out about the reality exactly as it is, at least here in Brazil. If you start talking about “communism”, you will be labeled immediatly as a “cold war paranoid”, a “mcarthyst”. “Do you believe communist eat children too?” was one of phrases I heard in reply of my points. The worst is that people I am talking about were not socialists, communists or social-democrats. They were libertarian people, who share the same view in economic terms. They believe and support democratic capitalistic system and economic freedom as the keys to achieve wealth and prosperity in the world.

This post, before being misread, has one single point: to try to explain what is going on today in a ludic way. It seems that reality itself has become “demodeé” (as french says) in Brazil. People here believe firmly that communism has faded away since the Berlin Wall fall and simply vanished totally after the events of Russia in 1991.

They don´t understand what was informed by books and authors like Anatolyi Golitsyn (“New Lies For Old” and “Perestroika Deception”), Nyquist, Olavo de Carvalho e and many others. It seems that my generation in Brazil – and I am afraid the rest of the world - has degraded into a level that the clear understanding of things is only possible if you talk to them as you do to children. So here I go.

The submersion of communist until they nearly disappeared from the surface of earth (but not from the underground) was a dissimulation in fact. It was like they had discovered the “evanescent ink”. Do you remember those old “Tom and Jerry” classic episodes, don´t you? In many of them,. Jerry used “evanescent ink” to achieve total invisibility and to drive Tom mad. Jerry punched, beated the big bulldog during its sleep and it always thinks that´s Tom. Poor Thomas, always been knocked out without knowing the reason.

Here is the parallel: our new-communist, using the powers of the “evanescent ink”, are creating the chaos inside the democratic societies. And they do exactly as Jerry´s : they rush against each “minority” group of our society and incite them against each other. Black people, women, homosexuals, indians and many others are called to the “fight”. Even muslims are incited to fight too. So, while all society is submerging into an open struggle for their mandatory “rights”, our communist are happily celebrating their achievements.

This is the reality that we are trying to unfold but our “heros”, debating over free market and capitalism, pretend that we live in a free world. They just refuse to believe in things that go against their creed. It´s a kind of thinking exactly the opposite of the leftist that thinks socialism will win, no matter how log it would take. They think the democratic new-liberalism has won – as Fukuyama stated on that infamous paper from the early 90´s – and those countries that hasn´t embrace it yet must be one of them , no matter how long it will take. It´s just a question of time. They proceed debating the outlines of ideal government under free-market rule. Entertained by these issues they don´t care about it until the day the roaring and rioting sound from the street outside impede them to go on.

Too late our “incredibles” hero-type will realize that instead of a free world , where the realization of human being depends on the individuals themselves, the ones that will be kicking at their front door will not be the “invisible hands” of the market, but the hands of new-comunist managing people as puppets with their slogans. At this time the puppets will find their “real enemy”: those who defend free market, democracy and the “opression” of capitalism – themselves.
But there´s no communism. Blame it on the “evanescent ink”.

The first half of the 20th. century witnessed the rise of planified
economy; the second saw its fall, followed by the appearance of an
even more ambitious plan of domination: planified culture. Culture
transcends and includes economy: it includes the entire range of human
creations, language and imagination, values and feelings, intimate
life and unconscious reflexes. The widening of the objectives show
that the activist intelligentsia learned from the past eight decades
an opposite lesson from that of non-marxist economists: the later
believe that socialism's failure proved the intrisic madness of a
giant state; the former learned that giant states fail for not being
gigantic enough.

The final aim of socialism, as Hannah Arendt observed, is the
modification of human nature. The generation of Lenin, Stalin and
Hitler imagined that socialist economy would create this new kind of
men. Deeper socialist thinkers like Gramsci, Lukacks and the
Frankfurtians saw in this a dangerous economicist mistake. The soul of
the "new man" would not be born from socialism, but should come before
it and create it. This idea sounded heretical to Marxist orthodoxes of
the time (although, on the other side of the socialist range, it was
not totally alien to the nazi-fascist theoreticians). It has spread
only in the last decades, providing the basis of the formidable
expansion of internationalist leftism, which survived even the fall of
soviet economy, and has reached its peak precisely in the years
following the break of the USSR. Today's international socialism looks
less for the creation of socialist regimes and more for the
installation of a global complex of mutations in civil society,
morals, family relations. The change in the order of priorities caused
a harmonic change in the strategy and choice of means. Formerly, the
essential tool of the revolutionary movement was a ideologically
monolitical party. Today, it is a variety of leftist parties,
disconnected in appearance. It is the international networks of NGOs,
the "social movements", the large international organs. Their unit of
action can only be graspped from outside by thoso who are aware of the
subtleties of cultural war, infinitelly more complex than the older
open conflict of pro-capitalist and pro-communist parties.

One the strategic line of action is understood, it is easy to follow
the players in the game, from the appearant confusion of public
debates to their common origin in offices of strategic planning
invariably linked to the UN and a certain number of billionaire
foundations with which they are associated and even some national
States which, discretely and not without ambiguities, give support for
the process. Today, there is not one "cause", or slogan for the
revolutionary fight or for "social change" that has not originated in
technical and consultive committees outside any popular and electoral
control. These ideas are then spread throughout the many nations as
spontaneous products of nonpersonal historical movements, if not
products of divine providence itself. Feminist revolt, abortism,
racial cotas, gay movements, agrary revolution, indianism,
enviromentalism, antismoking, liberation of heavy drugs, all the flags
that are waved in the world can be traced back from the public scene
down to their discrete origins in the circles of enlightened
internationalism. And to spread them, the means are not reduced to
"networks" extending up to the infinite, but there is an entire
millionaire burocratic system: the UN even has college courses to form
technicians in "creation of social movements" in the Third World. All
of them "spontaneous movements" of course, and for a spontanous
miracle, harmonized in the whole conception of a new order in
civilization.
The bibliography about this holds documentation that exceeds
reasonable doubt by far, but it is protected by the natural lazyness
of the masses and it will take some centuries until it becomes object
of common knowledge. And then, Humankind will have no interest in
knowing its origin so drunken it will be by the illusion of having
created itself by the spontaneous force of progress and the lights.

Brazilian philosopher Olavo has published some thoughts on the roots of new anti-americanism in Brazil.
This article is a must:
Olavo/2004/0513: "In Brazil , for example, access to the opinion of American conservatives has been banished. Their books – thousands of titles, many of them classics of political thought – are never translated and cannot be found in any university library. Their ideas are only available to public knowledge distorted as a caricature in the official communist version, created in 1971 by Soviet historian V. Nikitin in the book “The Ultras in the USA ”. It is still submissively passed on today, from generation to generation, in schools and in newspapers, by a bunch of knowing sly militants and by a multitude of useful fools who do not have the least clue as to the origin of their own opinions.

Who, raised in this environment, can suspect that there is anything wrong with the media onslaught that turns George W. Bush into a sort of right-wing Stalin?"

This is a very well executed manouvre to get total control of the press and intelectual life in Brazil. We have to choices: to be socialist and to fight against USA and the free-market and globalisation or to be against the internationalization of rainforest being against USA...

A fantastic new article on the arab-latin summit here in Brazil this week. It is time to world to know that Lula da Silva is not "better" that Chavez, he's his buddy in the task of deceive the american president.
Here's the real thing: "Something that went unmentioned was that in the last Monday 9 Brazilian Foreign Minister delayed for one hour Chavez arrival at the Presidential House of Granja do Torto to an announced dinner with Lula and the Argentina’s President Kirchner. The delay was necessary because the latter made it clear that he doesn’t want to participate of the secret Brasilia-Caracas-Buenos Aires axis – that more secretly involves Havana too – that his intelligence services detected. To Kirchner this is a dangerous and lunatic anti-American adventure and wanted to express his concerns to Lula in a meeting between them alone."

Censorship in IMDB site???

If you read my post about the brazilian "documentary" called "Isle of Flowers" (see here), you know that I send to the IMDB an acid comment on the film.
It was way back in february. Until now they didn´t publish my text.

I have submitted my comment three times until now. Every time they showed the regular warning that "in the next five days" the comment would be available. It´s a clear sign that all the comments are read before publishing.

It seems to have a kind of censorship in IMDB. If you read the comments on that film, only positive ones are showed.

Hummm, it´s a little strange, don´t you think?
It seems that the IMDB personnel likes this film to much. They are preserving the "views" of dozens of people - including those ones inside the film industry - that praise "isle of flowers" as a new standard in documentary film.
For me it´s clear that they are just acting as standard leftist people: avoiding the truth to be said.

New revelations about KGB and Brazilian failed "revolution" in 1964

In my last article on Maskless Media website, called "1964 - Deception Game (final)" , i reproduced some facts that has been hidden from the publica audience in Brazil for decades: that the "proof" of North-American engagement in the military counter-revolutionary movement in 03/31/1964, that enabled Brazil to re-encounter her way to democracy, development and peace, is based in forged documents created by the Czech intelligency office operating in Brazil.

It was showed on two books from author Ladislav Bittman: "The KGB and Soviet Disinformation: an Insider’s View" and "The Deception Game". Ladislav, former Czech intelligency officer, deserted in 1968 to United States where teached disinformation techniques since then.

His books informed that Czech/Soviet disinformation agencies even owned a newspaper to spread propaganda and disinformation, prior to april-1964, in Brazil.

I became very curious to know what was the newspaper´s name and the people involved. After some time of research, I finally encountered Ladislav. After some time of denying to name he delivered the gold ("the Moscow Gold", alas)

newspaper that was owned by KGB until april, 1964.It was cited in the "Kgb and disinformation" pages 6-7-8 inside the "Thomas Mann" disinformation operation.
It was a newspaper called "SEMANARIO" or not ?

Bittman - "Dear Mr. Alfonso: As I mentioned to you
earlier all I know about the Soviet bloc involvement in Brazil is included
in the book The Deception Game. Yes, it was the newspaper Semanario."

"Semanario" was the newspaper where for the first time the forgeries (called "Operation Thomas Mann") were published. The "Semanario" newspaper was closed (correctly) by the military after april, 1964.

The insteresting is that 'Semanario" is , until now, recognized, as a "nationalist" channel, fighting for Brazil´s subjects, in many history websites.

The level of disinformation in Brazil about facts not-so far away in time is outstanding: the present generation is living without knowing the truth. And the ones that know the true are feeling or are being pressed not to speak out.
To defend the truth in my country today means to be called as 'nazist', 'fascist' and so on.

While the real traitors of the country are treated as heros or even obtained political profits from those events...

Every flower is perfect - even Terry Schiavo

People tell me Schiavo (italian word for "slave") is a vegetable. But, even vegetables deserve the right to live.

One Brazilian blogger said that if Schiavo is a - let´s say, a flower - her parents have the right to take care of her.
Does a flower deserve to die?

Another points out that even inmates on death´s row has humanitarian death than Schiavo - they will not suffer from starving.

Supreme Court is demanding that an innocent human being has to be sentenced to death in a in-humanitarian way.
While a dog treated this way would make its owner guilty for life.

That´s the way it is??
I think I would rather live in another time, another place...

The perfect motto for conservatives in Brazil: "Yankees, go home - and take me with you!"

"The economist" has published some letters from readers. One of them from a brazilian. He saw this graffiti in Montevideo - Uruguay ten years ago. It´s exactly what brazilian conservatives think riht now:
“Yanqui go home, and take me with you.”

Australian blogger John Ray has published another post commenting the ultimate left twist in Latin America: Uruguay.

He´s partially correct: "South America's lurch to the Left now seems to be just about complete with the election of a new Leftist government in Uruguay. But that's democracy. If people want to make stupid choices that is up to them. Anyone these days who thinks that socialism leads anywhere must be a bit missing somewhere, though. Perhaps Latinos really are stupider on average."

Yes. Latinos are stupider than north-americans, for instance, but it´s the result of a plan. A carefully plan designed to put again the left on top in LA, after the fall of Berlin´s wall.
It must be clear that these events are not just the outcome of a democratic process.

We are living under a gramscian kind of "democracy": the society lives and think as living under the socialist rule. There´s no conservative options on political chessboard to choose from. All conservatives with a slight chance to be a serious contender are being under a carefully implemented "character assassination" processes by the left.
The name of the game: "Foro de São Paulo".

This is not a tea-party. When you see Brazil, Venezuela, Uruguay, Argentina, Cuba exchanging handshakes you realize that there are no chances for real democracy in LA.

"Ilha das Flores/Isle of Flowers" (1989) - a fake-o-mentary

There has been 16 years since the release of "ilha das flores" short film by brazilian director Jorge Furtado, in 1989.
The site IMDB has a lot of good reviews about it. See Here

Most of all tells that the film is a profound critic towards capitalism. It tells the story of a tomato that become pig-food before be used as meal for human beings.

But the reality was worse than that.

Here is the commentary that I added to IMDB site. Hope they publish it:

"I believe that Michael Moore had learned a lot with this film, but not
the essential. This documentary is not a documentary, really. It's a
dirty trick to charge capitalism for doing what its director wanted.
Its author, Jorge Furtado is a long time marxist-leninist addicted. 1989 was the year of the first presidential election in Brazil after the
military regime.It was the first time that Lula da Silva was running
for president as Worker's Party candidate. He tried more two times
before win in 2002. And Furtado's finger helped Lula and Worker's party during all this time.

The first schocking true about this film is that the reality supposedly
portrayed in it is totally fake.

In 2004, march, due to 15th anniversary of the film, Brazilian
newspaper "Zero Hora" interviewed the people who participated in the film.

They were show sharing spoiled-food with pigs. Or better: that the food that was rejected by pigs were used to feed humans beings.

The message was clear: capitalism turns people into a kind o animals, lower than pigs.

Reality: Furtado payed hot-dogs and cokes to people to fake it while
he was shooting. He told them that they all would become famous with the film. People told to "Zero Hora" that the filming was like a party to them. Furtado promised to return to show the film. Never came back.

They only saw the film years later, and became very angry about it.
They became subject of other people's satire.

During these long fifteen years, this film has gained a lot of awards
worldwide.

It proves that a lie could be profiting. And it has nothing to do with
capitalism. It's just a show of cheap greed - by the author.
