Here in Portugal, there are a lot of cars that I didn´t know. Same make, different models (newer).
Or cars that I´ve never seen out on the streets.
It seems that french cars are very popular too (Renault, Peugeot and Citroen). If you like cars (like me and my daughter) here some photos I took in the streets of Porto, Portugal.

Godless Freakonomics: Abortion as a cause of crime debacle??!!

Or: Crime debacle as an excuse for abortion...

There´s been a little lot of time that did not post.

I´ve been traveling. Sorry but I think my blogging life is under a new schedule.

What catch my attention was a book released in Brazil last year that even got mention on the cover of the best selling weekly magazine in Brazil: “Weakonomics”, sorry, “ Freakonomics” (Steven Levitt).

I very known economic/politics columnist of my birth-state (Rio Grande do Sul – Brazil), Políbio Braga has wrote something on the Steven´s book praising his findings on the connection between the abortion liberation in the USA (seventies) and the “abrupt” decline of the crime rates in the USA in the nineties.

When a read it I was reading Ann Coulter´s new book (“Godless”-brilliant I suggest for all) exactly on the theme of Republican´s approach on crime during the period.

In my Brazilian blog I commented the non-sense idea that a legalization of a crime (abortion) could be use as a cause of crime rate drop. Of course it only could happen if this crime would not be accounted as a crime anymore.

By this approach all crimes could be de-criminalized and we´ll get zero flat crime rate!!!

I received many angry comments on the subject, alleging that I did not read the book to make such statements.

Ok. I conceded that I did not read the book. So I decided to make a little research on the subject.

Thanks to the internet, I came across a Steven Levitt paper called “ Understanding Why Crime Fell in the 1990s: Four Factors that Explain the Decline and Six that Do Not”, that seems to be the piece of resistance of the book.

In this, Levitt, “separates” the factors he believes that has something to do with the crime wave decline and the factors that does not – among the factors appointed by the media and the public opinion its causes.

Here´s the list of the “ real causes” of crime rate drop.

1. Increases in the Number of Police

2. The Rising Prison Population

3. The Receding Crack Epidemic

4. The Legalization of Abortion

And here the list of causes overrated by the media that has little or no effect on the crime rate.

1. The Strong Economy of the 1990s

2. Changing Demographic

3. Better Policing Strategies

4. Gun Control Laws

5. Laws Allowing the Carrying of Concealed Weapons

6. Increased Use of Capital Punishment

Analyzing the document, I came across a conclusion that this a complete biased analysis.

Let´s see:

Among the “real factors” causes number one (Increases in the number of police) and number two (prison population) are undoubted. On the prison population the graphic below show the dramatic raise on this subject. It was published on Levitt´s paper.

Factor number 3 (receding the crack epidemic) is doubtful. How come the crack wave finished? It´s funny how liberals think that global warming is caused by (capitalist) man and the “receding of the crack wave” was caused by some geological movement of continental plates or something like that – nothing to do with human actions (or specifically police action)..For me is clear that the decline of the crack is clearly caused by the two former factors (1 & 2) than a supernatural cause: with more cops in the streets and more criminals in the prison is obvious that the crack wave had to recede. A drug dealer can not work behind bars...

The factor 4 (abortion) although is cited as the last is the first and more commented “ factor”. Media is like Narcisus: they enjoy only what resembles as a mirror of them.

But is odd that this particular “factor” does not carry any statistical graph to support the conclusion. Just this plain opinion (theory) is showed:

“ The underlying theory rests on two premises: 1) unwanted children are at greater risk for crime, and 2) legalized abortion leads to a reduction in the number of unwanted births ” .

What supports it? Not numbers, not graphs or statistical, only references to other author´s opinions...

If I wanted to prove that jews are really bad people, I could produce it by the use supportive references by quoting Hitler, the president of Iran and so on...

But where´s the evidence? Where´s the graph showing the number of abortions before and after 1973´s liberation?

It is really easy to prove it. If there were massive raise on the abortion rate after 1973 it leads to the conclusion that

• Abortion liberation has increased the number of abortions

• These aborted fetuses could not produce criminals (or even straight citizens).

Ok, the second assertion is pure guess but is based on numbers, at least. And numbers can be comparable with each other...

But no. In fact the plain truth is that Roe Vs Wade only produced the decline of one type of crime: Abortion. The killing of more than one million children per year is not a crime anymore...

On the other hand, among the factors that are “insignificant” related to crime decline, Levitt cites the Giuliani effect (factor number 3 – police strategies). This is a lie!!!

Levitt's insists that the crime rate was already falling since the beginning of the nineties.. Let´s read a Counter´s “Godless” excerpt :

“ Even after Giuliani´s the triumphant success, liberals denied his accomplishment. Those who won´t believe will never believe. They say the crime rate was already falling, as if the drop in the number of murder during the Dinkins administration (democrat mayor of New York before Giuliani) from 2,154 murders to 1992 in to 1,995 murders in 1992 was the equivalent of the Battle of Midway. It was probably a bookkeeper error”

"In the first year of Giuliani (1993) crime rate fell 16% and more 14% on the second year. 35% of national crime rate of 1993 were attributed solely to New York City, during the Giuliani era” .

So, Levitt´s opinions are pure “bias” in the perfect form. What Levitt believes that rose the prison population? It is obvious that new police strategy under Giuliani had the biggest effect on that number.

Levitt lied when he said that had no such big fall between the the difference from 1991 to 1992 (only 160 fewer cases) under Dinkins with the implosion of crime under Giuliani.

Another “weak” factor (number six) was the death penalty. The fact that the number of executions in the 90´s was four times the 80´s executions deserved the word “weak” impactant from Levitt because “ the rarity with which executions are carried out in this country and the long delays in doing so, a rational criminal should not be deterred by the threat of execution”.

I doubt that . This factor did not receive any graph to show its impact. I did this. See this

The difference is brutal!! From 117 in the 80`s to 478 in the 90´s. The fact that criminals were executed in a rate four times bigger than a decade before has indeed a role in the crime decline. Even being against the death penalty I must agreed with that.

C onclusion:

The politically correct bias of this paper is wide open. Levitt tries to underrates all initiatives of crime detention, while overrates some points (specially abortion) that are madly defended by liberals.

Like Coulter points out in her book, Levitt seems to be a devoted priest of the religion of liberalism. The anti-religious religion.

US democracy in danger

readership over 500 to register as lobbyists. If they fail to register,
they could face criminal penalties up to one year in jail.

Yes, but all policital blogger, specially the conservative ones have to take care, because it will not be the last resort. There´ll be another attempt to crush the freedom od speech.

Why? Because with internet citizens are scrutinizing the news they were used to swallow without blink. All the majors news outlets are liberal. They always had the monopoly of the news.. But then, conservatives appeared. Radio, books, newspapers (of course) but mainly on the internet.
Remember who impeded Kerry to win on 2004 elections? Who un-masked Dan Rather??
Bloggers.
That´s why they will try it again and again.
It seems that democracy in the US is starting to dance to the same rythm from Latin America and other totalitarian countries.

Um verdadeiro herói cubano / A True Cuban Hero: Ramón Velásquez & Family

A mensagem é importante demais. Enquanto toda a mídia está preocupada com a saúde de Castro (Kasstro), com reportagens que transpiram uma simpatia quase criminosa para com o ditador (chamado de "presidente"), um verdadeiro herói cubano e sua história e sua história são quase esquecidos.

O herói chama-se Ramón Velásquez Toranso e sua família.

Que, nadando contra a maré vermelha, começaram uma caminhada em protesto contra as violações dos direitos humanos em Cuba. Mas não foi em Miami ou em outro lugar civilizado. Ele e sua família estão realizando a façanha em Cuba mesmo. Bem diante do nariz morimbundo de Castro.

Isso sim é peito! E coragem. A caminhada de Ramon já iniciou várias vezes (impedidos várias vezes desde dezembro/06) parte de Santiago de Cuba até Havana.

Reiniciou novamente no dia 14/01 como mostrado nesta reportagem de Cubanet.

Ah, se as centenas de esquerdistas brasileiros tão corajosos quanto um, digamos, José Genoíno, chegassem aos pés deste cidadão - este sim um verdadeiro cidadão - e sua família. Se houvessem mais, não haveria tantos ditadores neste mundo.

Peço aos bloggers nacionais e estrangeiros que apoiem esta causa!

This message is important too much to get unnoticed. While all MSM
is worried about Castro´s (Kasstro) health, with a mix of sympathy and
respect to a bloody dictator (is always good to remember that Castro
killed more than 20.000 people and is called "president" while some
other dictators that killed less than 400 is labelled as "dictator"), a
true Cuban hero and his story are almost forgot.

The hero is Ramón Velásquez Toranso and his family.

Them, that are really "swimming against the red tide", started a
journey protesting against the human rights violations in Cuba. But it
was not in Miami or another civilized place. They are doing it in Cuba,
well under Castro´s (dead) nose.

This is courage! Ramon´s journey has started many times due to the
impedings acts from police. They re-started again in 01/14. They are
going from Santiago de Cuba to La Habana.

I ask all bloggers, english /&/amp; spanish speakers to support them.

política. Velázquez declaró que el recorrido también tiene como objetivo cohesionar a la oposición cubana a través de toda la nación.

La joven de 18 años, Rufina Velázquez, que participa en la marcha junto a sus padres, declaró: "Nuestra familia se ha preparado para afrontar las dificultades que se presenten durante la caminata,

porque se trata de un acto pacífico".

I´ve just received a story that´s worth to link: A Rabbi called Daniel Lupin penned an article entitled " A Rabbi's Call to America's Christians - Wake Up! You're Under Attack!" that is very instructive. Here´s an excerpt:

Everywhere, but Brazil... Brazilian people are being blinded by the media that :

a) Such organization does not exist (during last 10 years they shouted it)

b) Yes, it exists, but is just a debate forum (since 2005 and the XI edtion in Brazil that was kicked-off by Lula himself)

China's newspaper covering decisions on the 4th day of the forum. Yes, it was predictable that Foro Boys will endorse One-China policy, but what call my attention was this excerpt

It's a fallacy! I just commented that Foro Index of Economic Freedom, based on Heritage "Index of Economic Freedom" showed what drives LA and other leftist regimes to fail: the lack of economic freedom!

It is obvious that China came here to see the recent developments of Latin America revolution...

Here's the list of the last edition of "Index of Economic Freedom". Top ten countries are:

Brazil is the 70th most "free" economic and her friends from Foro de Sao Paulo are even worst.

While they shrink the economic freedom day by day, increasing unemployment, subsidies, welfare politics, they do it blaming on the "new-liberalism" and the "imperialism of USA"...
That's ridiculous...

PS.: I mantained some of countries´ name in portuguese. Sorry. No2 country is Singapore not "Cingapura" (portuguese name) and "Austrália" means - of course - Australia. Sometimes is hard to blog (or try to) on more than one single language... You english readers and speakers are in advantage over "latino hablantes". English is a standard language in the world (thank ourselves and the Brits)!

People Vs Cicarelli

Brazilian Top (?) model Daniela Cicarelli and her boyfriend were caught on video making love on a beach in Spain.
The video was spread by the brazilians users of you tube.
Cicarelli drew a lawsuit against all media outlets that published the video -- alleging protection for her "privacy" (de-privacy?).
A brainless judge ordered to block you tube in all Brazilian territory until that polemic video were withdrawn.
Some internet providers effectivelly blocked you tube signal to all their users.

This kind of lunacy only could happen here. A country that lost any sign of common sense in all senses.
But the response came quickly: many internet users and you tube addicted created various websites promoting a boycott on Cicarelli.

For those who does not know, Daniela Cicarelli was the former wife of Ronaldo Nazario - the "phenomena" - the brazilian soccer player.

After two days, another judicial stance withdrew the ban, but the anger from the public towards Cicarelli continued.

My points
If Cicarelli and her boyfriend wanted privacy they must not engaged in sex in a public place. If the place was empty or not it is another question. If they got caught by Google Earth, would they try to banish the application from all computers in Brazil???
After all, the brainless/horny couple could do whatever strike their fancies, but to censor a whole site is ridiculous. Ridiculous and "banana republic" fashion was the judicial system to accept it: they shredded the constitutional rights of information just to satisfy the naughty couple.
In deep, they created a excuse for censorship in Brazil.
But they act just like many high ranked politicians here, that pay for sex in expensive orgies fueled by public money but don´t want that these stories to emerge.
It is a short sample of how deep is the cut from reality in Brazil.

People could win this time, but it will be a short victory. When the government starts its Federal "popular control of the means of the communication" will not be the Cicarelli´s videos that will be banned but the content that makes you tube so amazing: videos from Cuba, Venezuela, China, Russia showing the real terror of what they call "socialism".
What will be left for us? Sex, Carnival and Soccer, of course. And maybe more "Cicarellis"

Or will the country be transformed into a pluralist democracy, equipped with a marketbased economic system and the existence of private property, as was the case with almost all of the communist Eastern Bloc dictatorships after the fall of the Soviet Union?

I predict the latter. In the Americas, at the turn of the 21st century, a dictatorship where human rights are not respected, which has more than 300 political prisoners—including 48 young people for collecting signatures for a referendum, 23 journalists for writing articles about the regime, and 18 librarians for loaning forbidden books—cannot be sustained. Fidel Castro’s death will be the starting point for a series of political and economic changes similar to those that occurred in Europe

New life (?)

Here I am, right now becoming an European worker. It looks so different from where I came from. Brazil is indeed very different from here. But with all differences , Portugal is still a brother country to Brazil, having some similiarities too. Ok, Porto is a beautiful city, as you can see beside.
It´s clean, organized and crimeless - at least to a Brazilian like me.
But Portugal have something in common:
- Portugal is the country that has the smallest development rate in EU; If Portugal is getting behind all other EU countries, Brazil is getting behind all develloping countries too.
- Portugal suffers from State in excess (the worst citizens per public employees rate among all countries of EU), just like Brazil where all young people wish to be a federal employee.
- The parties that really change roles with situation and opposition are socialists and social-democrats, just like Brazil.
- There´s a referendum asking if the public wants the government to fund and support all abortion clinics and make abortion free for all women, despite the strong catholic creed of the popullation (newspapers cleary induce the public to the `yes´ choice, as it was a question that only matters to oneself). In Brazil Lula`s is trying to impose a new law disguised as `procriation freedom to the women` (yes! it reminds that old eugenic campaigns..) to make abortion free.

But despite all similiarities, what I think is that Portugal is approaching to the abyss but there´s a lot of people seeing it and denouncing it. In Brazil it seems that the blindness is in such degree that there`s no hope at all.

For me, I hope it will be really a new life. Cheers and a happy new year!

Remembering Allende and Pinochet

A year ago I decided to create a second english blog called "Simply the Truth" with excerpt of new evidence brought by books (through Google print and others) or websites that were in the archive of the internet.
Just to document it.
I am linking some documents I put there, due to the Pinochet's death.
I am pro life and condemn violence of any kind but I've read some opinions that makes me republished it again.
Pinochet was a dictator? Yes, just like Fidel, Mao and other leftist beloved myths.
The truth is that Pinochet was not a "dictator that destroyed democracy in Chile", he was the opposite!
According to historic sources, Allende who was destroying the Chilean Democracy! And the chambers of deputies in Chile asked the Army to throw Allende off.
It was, in reality, a dictactorship created by the democracy!

All leftist revolutions - since French revolution - decay in mass murder, terrorism and no democracy. If one tries to stop this, it will not be a "peaceful" task, cause the other side always pursued their goals through death and terror.
Revolution is a Pandora's Box. But don't blame it all to Pinochet.

It is true that Salvador Allende was elected President of Chile in 1970 by means of a democratic election (although with only 36.6% of the vote). Nevertheless, it is equally true that his government lost its democratic character by repeatedly violating the Constitution. The Economist said it clearly at the time: " The temporary death of democracy in Chile will be regrettable, but the blame lies clearly with Dr. Allende and those of his followers who persistently overrode the Constitution" (September 15, 1973). In effect, President Allende became a tyrant when he broke his solemn oath to respect the Constitution and the Chilean laws. There are numerous evidences to that effect (including a clear statement of the Supreme Court), but the most important one--and widely unknown outside of Chile--is the momentous Agreement of 23 August 1973 of the Chamber of Deputies (the Lower House of the Chilean Congress), which I have translated and posted as "The Declaration of Breakdown of Chilean Democracy".

Leaving Brazil

On next Saturday I will be going to Portugal.
It´s a preliminary trip, but in a short time I will live there.
I will be missing many persons here, my family, my little daughter, but Brazil is a dead-end road for anybody that wants to live under a minimum standard of decent living.
Brazil is a country that used to have just three days of Carnival a year, but by now the Carnival is 365 days long every year.
The whole country decided to live in the fantasy, while crimes, corruption and the body count is raising day by day.
The fact is that I´ve just received a business proposal and accepted.
I want a better future for my daughter. A see it as a great opportunity.
I know many people consider Europe dead - morally, politically and culturally, but even dead is better than the non-stop orgy-carnival-bloodshed that is Brazil.

Don´t worry, I will try to update this blog when possible.

The Truth about 3D? (December the 3th) in Venezuela

It seems that Rosales stopped the real "Bolivarian" revolution.
Chávez knew that he was going to lose the elections and prepared a bloodbath - with  his armed militants - to kill (in fact) the opposition and to start a totalitarian "bolivarian" regime.
Rosales dismantled the bomb and weakened Chávez' position, once the violent groups that support him ( and waited for Chávez debacle in the elections as a password to start a communist regime with the killing of the opposition) will not support this kind of constitutional regime. Chávez promised the "Revolution" and now he has to get even with them.

Wilfredo Silva, Gnral del CUFAN, escuchaba e iba a escuchar solo ordenes de su Comandante en Jefe, Hugo Chavez Frias.
El CUFAN tiene una importancia operativa, incluso mayor que el Ministerio de la Defensa.

Los resultados hablados en dicha reunión los desconosco, y no voy a mentir. Lo que si sé es que el Gnral. Baduel tomó una postura de apoyo con Rosales. Hubo mucha tensión.



Los grupos armados de Chavez, aparecidos ( En diarios internacionales previo a las elecciones) estaban listos para actuar. El gobierno NO iba a reconocer un triunfo de Rosales. Eso se lo dejó dicho bien claro Chavez a Rosales. Acabada la reunión, se acordó entre los militares y Chavez que habría toque de queda a las 10pm. Ya que esta sería la excusa para reprimir cualquiera manifestación opositora, tanto con el ejercito el cual en dia de elecciones es muy debil, debido a que pro el Plan Republica sus efectivos estan desplegados, y por las milicias de Chavez. Que ya circulaban la ciudad, acompañados por 2000 efectivos con ordenes directas del CUFAN fuertemente armados.



La sorpresa se la llevó Chavez, cuando despues de que el CNE lo proclama ganador, y el da su discurso (CORTO) y violento. Debido a que la situación de tensión no permitia que se prolongará mucho.

Manuel Rosales sale en discurso nacional hablando reconociendo la derrota. Desarticulando así la matanza y la instauración de una dictadura totalitaria. Si quieren corroborar esto lean articulos previos de personas como Mario Silva, quienes todos pronosticaban el 3D con sangre, pero con la victoria de la verdadera revolución.

El hecho es que Rosales le jugó a Chavez en su propio terreno. Desarticuló un plan en el cual para Chavez la pieza fundamental era el llamado a caos de Rosales. La anarquía total, de personas, opositoras tambien armadas en muchisima menor medidas, pero irracionales debido a los resultados, se enfrentarian con su gente infinamente mejor armadas y con apoyo del CUFAN del Gnral. Silva.

Amparados en un toque de queda, y con una legitimación gracias a los resultados del CNE. No se preguntaron, porque un primer boletín tan temprano, y del 85%?....El CNE tenía que legitimizar a Chavez contundentemente antes de comenzar el plan macabro. Porque la compra de 1500 motos, entregadas días antes a motorizados en los Barrios Petare, El Valle, 23 de Enero. Porque el ejercito todavía no cuenta con los 100,000 AK 103 que compro Venezuela???



Señores, ManueL Rosales secretamente y muy bien asesorado, le jugó a Chavez uno de los revez más grandes de la historia política Venezolana. Chavez quedó mal parado ante los militares ( incluído Baduel) y ante su propia gente, a quienes les juro que el 3 de Diciembre en la noche tendria que defender la gloriosa revolución.



Hoy 6 de Diciembre el Chavismo esta más debil que nunca, por dos motivos.


1. Reconocen la gallardía y hombría de Rosales.

2. En su base más radical se sienten engañados.


2b. Hay problemas internos muy muy graves con respecto al partido único. Los dirigentes de PPT (625,000 votos) se pronunciaron hoy rotundamente encontra de esto. Muy molestos con lo que se quiere hacer.


2c. Iris Varela pidió la cabeza de los empleados públicos traidores.



En definitiva, si se gano o no, el 3D no es lo importante en este momento. Porque aun si se hubiese ganado por un pequeño margen estariamos todavía hoy sumidos en un conflicto armado de una escala inimaginale. Rosales causó el mayor de los daños, Rosales los hirió en la base mas sagrada de un comunista, los hirió en su convicción de poseer la verdad.

Vienen dias muy pero muy buenos.

El 3D es el evento que nos hace posible una transición pacífica.

Buenas Noches, y más bien esten contentos. Que los que deberian estar preocupados son ellos.

Alejandro Peña Esclusa,
conocido activista político venezolano y autor de varios libros,
entre ellos el famoso “350″, no comparte la visión
electoral ofrecida por los factores en juego (CNE, Chávez,
Rosales). En un artículo titulado “Motivos del Pacto” dice que el ganador de las elecciones fue Rosales y, a partir de ahí, hubo un pacto.

Es evidente que Rosales ganó por avalancha.
Eso no tiene discusión. Basta comparar las concentraciones
opositoras –masivas y espontáneas– con las del
oficialismo –pagadas y llenas de autobuses.

La pregunta es ¿Por qué Rosales aceptó la derrota, sabiéndose ganador?

Por un lado, el oficialismo amenazó a Rosales
con masacrar al pueblo y destruir las instalaciones petroleras si no
acataba sumisamente la derrota; pero por el otro, proclamar el fraude
hubiese provocado –luego de una severa crisis
política– una intervención de las Fuerzas Armadas,
como bien lo anticipó el periodista Rafael Poleo.

La oposición venezolana está conformada casi toda por izquierdistas “moderados”
–como Teodoro Petkoff– que, aunque disienten del estilo
radical del Régimen, se oponen aún más a una
intervención militar de “derecha”. Por eso,
prefieren mantener a un Chávez ilegítimo en el poder
–con quien pueden negociar y compartir el poder, bajo ciertos
criterios socialistas– antes que darle paso a un gobierno
militar.

El filósofo brasileño Olavo de Carvalho, denunció que lo mismo ocurre en su país.
El candidato opositor a Lula, Geraldo Alckmin, deliberadamente
ocultó los vínculos que mantiene el Partido de los
Trabadores (PT) con la industria del secuestro y el narcotráfico
a través del Foro de Sao Paulo, porque el Partido Social
Demócrata Brasileño (PSDB) comparte con el PT su odio por
las Fuerzas Armadas. Alckimin no quiso golpear duro a Lula para no
revelar secretos que habrían agitado el ambiente militar.
Prefirió una derrota negociada antes que abrirle la puerta a un
gobierno de derecha.

Ese mismo diagnóstico se aplica a toda Iberoamérica. La
mayoría de los partidos políticos nacieron con el fin de
combatir las dictaduras militares de los años sesenta. Por sus
prejuicios y por su formación marxista, lo que más temen
estos partidos es a una intervención militar.

Pero en ciertos casos, sólo una actuación militar es capaz de derrocar un tirano y restablecer la democracia.
En el año 1958, las Fuerzas Armadas venezolanas intervinieron,
no para dar un golpe, sino para deponer a un dictador que no
permitía una salida electoral. Esa actuación dio origen a
una democracia que, con todos sus defectos, fue una de las más
duraderas del continente.

Sin embargo, los socialistas “moderados” no piensan igual.
Con tal de cerrarle el paso al “fantasma de la derecha”,
prefirieron dejar a Chávez seis años más en el
poder, para que exporte a toda América la Revolución
cubana, acabe con la propiedad privada, termine de destruir las
instituciones nacionales, particularmente a las Fuerzas Armadas, y
adoctrine a nuestros hijos con ideologías comunistas.

Prefirieron echar al olvido los muertos, los presos
políticos, los exilados, los 20 mil empleados injustamente
despedidos de PDVSA, y las esperanzas de millones de venezolanos que confiaron en las promesas vacías de Rosales.

Venezuela stood still ... Before suicide

I don´t believe what happened.
Venezuela was the last glimpse of democracy in LA, in my opinion, because has a real opposition.
I believe all the polls were a fraud. I believe Rosales could win.Chavez only by cheating, as he did in the past.
I believe that such thing happened - Chavez victory - the opposition united would started to show what happened to all the world.
Rosales "conceded" earlier than Kerry in 2004 against Bush.
I want to know: if there was fraud it could not be such thing as "concede". Look what is going on in Mexico: To the left - even when they lost a real democratic elections- they pretend that it was robbed.
If there was fraud in Venezuela, opposition never could conceded. Where there is fraud there´s no democracy at all thus not reasons to do such thing.

If the elections were democratic in Venezuela so all the analysis from the opposition and dozens of sites were failed. Only for this motiv, could be a reason to think that opposition lost another round in the democracy game.

But it means that there´s no such thing as the Foro de Sao Paulo, that all countries in LA are stepping the gas towards a troglodite lefty model all by theirselves with no help from nobody.
FARC (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia) acclaimed the Lula victory as just Britney Spears fans - that love to watch her videos- do : only as interested spectators of the show.
Lula helped Chavez just a friend, nothing to do with the Foro...

To believe this is to believe in Fairy Tales that tells that no matter how worst the things may become, everything is going to be all right, in the end. If it is not ok it is just because we are not in the "end" yet.

It sounds totally Darwinist: there´ll be an evolution, and when it occurs all will solved...

I don´t believe in evolution, in fact I believe in devolution: Nothing is worse that cannot be worser.

Rosales could not consider Chavez a fair competitor. It sound as a joke. There´s no democracy to hope in the future..

Latin America right now remembers me an old song that I used to hear when was in my twenties, that said: "No Future.. No Future for you..!" (Sex Pistols - "Anarchy for the UK").

The Day Venezuela Stood Still

Today is the day!
I've read some newspapers in Brazil that says Chavez is going to win. As just as plain fact.
But I know that if there's such "democratic elections" thing in Venezuala, Rosales will be the next president.

Let's wait and hope that true democracy could emerge from Venezuela this time.

I love Venezuela and the Venezuelans too, and pray that their voices could be heard through the curtain of silence made by Chavez.
