A new revelation -- Did Castro Kill Kennedy?

Months ago I published the theory that Chilean President Allende was killed by Castro.
Now this new revelation emerges: Castro could killed Kennedy too.
The most impressive is the reason to keep it in the shade for more than 42 years: politics.

"Alexander Haig, then a military adviser to President Johnson, went on camera to say that Lyndon Johnson believed Cuba was responsible, but he believed that if the evidence came out of a Castro link to the Kennedy murder, it would turn the country to the right politically, and keep the Democrats out of power for years to come. Added Haig: "He (Johnson) said 'we must simply not allow the American people to believe Fidel Castro could have killed our president.'"

Did Castro Kill Kennedy?
By Roger Aronoff | February 2, 2006
Shortly after Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas on November 22, 1963, a Cuban connection was investigated.

Compelling new evidence of a Cuban Communist role in the assassination of former president John F. Kennedy has come to light, but has received little attention in the U.S. media.

It comes at a time when there has been renewed interest in the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II and the alleged Soviet role behind that.

Mehmet Ali Agca, who attempted to assassinate Pope John Paul II, was released from jail in Istanbul, Turkey, after nearly 25 years in prison. Most of the reports labeled him as being from the far-right, because for a time he was a member of a militant nationalist group in Turkey. At best, the reports have said that because of Ali Agca's changing stories, we still don't know who was behind the attempted assassination.

But at his trial, the Italian prosecutors made the case that he was in fact carrying out an operation by the Bulgarian secret service. The act took place in 1981, during the height of the Cold War. If the Bulgarian secret service was involved, it was clearly on behalf of the Soviet Union and its intelligence service, the KGB.

Accuracy in Media commented here and here on evidence that was later presented on the CBS 60 Minutes program, making a strong case that the Soviets were ultimately behind the assassination attempt. The Soviets saw the Polish-born Pope as a threat to the survival of the Soviet empire, and they were right.

In the Kennedy matter, the big news comes from a German TV documentary that claims that the Cuban government was behind the assassination of former president John F. Kennedy by Lee Harvey Oswald. The film is called "Rendezvous With Death," by award winning director Wilfried Huissman. It took five years to make, and reports suggest that it makes a compelling case.

Among those talking on camera is Oscar Marino, a former Cuban intelligence agent. He says that the Cubans wanted Kennedy dead because he had opposed the Cuban revolution, and had tried to have Castro assassinated. Marino told Huissman that he knew for certain that the Cuban secret service G2 had carried out and financed the operation, though he wouldn't say if Castro had directly ordered it. But under Castro's brutal dictatorship, which has endured for nearly half a century, it is not conceivable that this would have happened without his blessing. As Marino described it, Oswald "was so full of hate, he had the idea. We used him."

According to Marino, the Cubans contacted Oswald after being tipped off by their patrons, the Soviet KGB. Oswald had lived there for three years after deserting from the U.S. military. There he married the niece of a KGB colonel. He was allowed to return to the U.S. and bring his wife with him. He continued to call himself a Communist, and demonstrated on behalf of Cuba. And as a Marine, he had been sharpshooter, thus capable of hitting the intended target from the Texas Schoolbook Depository, where he went to work. Marino said that Oswald offered to kill the president. He said that Oswald traveled to Mexico City in September 1963 where he met up with Cuban agents who paid him $6,500 to carry out the assassination.

Shortly after Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas on November 22, 1963, a Cuban connection was investigated. The trail led to Mexico City. An FBI agent by the name of Laurence Keenan was sent to Mexico City, but he was recalled after only three days. Keenan is now 81, and he also spoke to Huissman for the documentary. "I realized that I was used," Keenan said. "I felt ashamed. We missed a moment in history." Keenan called it "perhaps the worst investigation the FBI was ever involved in."

Alexander Haig, then a military adviser to President Johnson, went on camera to say that LBJ believed Cuba was responsible, but he believed that if the evidence came out of a Castro link to the Kennedy murder, it would turn the country to the right politically, and keep the Democrats out of power for years to come. Added Haig: "He (Johnson) said 'we must simply not allow the American people to believe Fidel Castro could have killed our president. '"

Thanks to the Internet and Google News in particular, it is easy to find a few articles on this new documentary from the BBC and The Australian and other papers from around the world. In this country there were stories in Newsmax.com, The Washington Times, and Miami Herald.com. But nothing was carried on the major broadcast networks, the New York Times or the Washington Post.

Human Events had the most comprehensive report on the film, including director Huissman's claim that LBJ was concerned that if we followed the trail and it led to the Cuban government, the pressure would have been intense for the U.S. to invade Cuba, possibly sparking a world-wide nuclear conflict with Castro's patron, the Soviet Union.

Newly Released Movie Pins Blame on Castro for JFK's Assassination

by Jim Burns
Posted Jan 10, 2006

Another theory has arisen on to the death of America's 35th President John F. Kennedy. A newly released film that explores JFK's death is claiming that his accused assassin Lee Harvey Oswald was directed and paid to kill the president by Cuba's Castro government.

A German documentary film entitled "Rendezvous with Death ---why Kennedy had to die" will be shown on German television on Friday. Journalist Wilfried Huismann, the filmmaker, says Kennedy's killer, Lee Harvey Oswald, traveled to Mexico City a few weeks before the assassination and met agents from Cuba's G-2 intelligence service.

Huismann told Germany's Deutsche Welle radio, "We settled the question of why in three years of research on this documentary in Mexico, USA and Cuba. Oswald had been an agent for the Cuban intelligence services since November 1962."

"He (Oswald) was a political fanatic and allowed himself to be used by the Cuban intelligence services to kill John F. Kennedy," said Huismann. "It was a Cuban reaction to the repeated attempts of the Kennedy brothers, above all the younger Kennedy, Robert, to get rid of Fidel Castro through political assassination -- a duel between the Kennedys and the Castros, which, like in a Greek tragedy, left one of the duelists dead."

Several have said since the Kennedy assassination that Cuban intelligence officials contacted Oswald after he was alerted by the Soviets intelligence agency the KGB in 1962. He returned to the United States after living in the Soviet Union for several years. One source has told this writer that Oswald met in Mexico City with some Castro operatives' just days before JFK died.

Huismann was asked why the United States did not pursue the Mexican lead.

"Kennedy and Castro were out to kill each other," Huismann says.

" After Kennedy's death on Nov. 22, 1963," Huismann continued, "[President] Lyndon B. Johnson found out that the US had a secret, illegal murder program focused on Fidel Castro. He hadn't been informed before that." "He (Johnson) knew that Castro knew, and he was afraid that the discovery of these mutual assassination attempts could force him to carry out an invasion of Cuba, which he believed could result in a third -- nuclear -- world war. And as a conservative pragmatist, he (Johnson) decided within a few hours, in agreement with Robert Kennedy, to drop the whole thing and to ban FBI and CIA officials from pursuing the trail leading to Cuba," said Huismann. Former Secretary of State Alexander Haig says in the film that President Johnson believed Cuba was to blame and feared a pronounced swing to the right if the truth were known that would keep the Democrats out of power for a long time. Haig -- a US military adviser at the time -- said, "He (Johnson) said 'we must simply not allow the American people to believe Fidel Castro could have killed our president'. "He (Johnson) was convinced Castro killed Kennedy and he took it to his grave," Haig concluded. Before he left office in 1969, President Johnson had told ABC News commentator Howard K. Smith, "Kennedy was out to get Castro but Castro got him.
Meanwhile, BBC Radio quoted ex-Cuban agent Oscar Marino, as saying that Havana had "exploited" Lee Harvey Oswald, who was arrested but shot to death on live television before he was transported from the Dallas police jail to the Dallas County jail.

Conspiracy theories on the killing have variously accused Cuba, Russia and the US of acting alone or jointly.

However, an FBI officer sent to follow the Oswald's trail during a visit to Mexico was recalled after only three days and the investigation called off.

Laurence Keenan, now 81, told BBC that it was "perhaps the worst investigation the FBI was ever involved in".

"I realized that I was used. I felt ashamed. We missed a moment in history," Keenan said.

Lee Harvey Oswald, an ex-Marine sharpshooter who worked in a book depository building that overlooked the assassination site. Oswald had a Russian wife, called himself a Communist and agitated on behalf of Castro's Cuba.

The film was five years in the making and will be shown on Germany's main ARD public TV station. It was funded by a series of German public broadcasters as well as Japan's NHK television network.

Huismann concluded, "It's history. Only people's awareness will change, the impression they have. And it will provide an answer to the question that has very much upset many million people over the years: Why did this horrible thing happen?"

Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963, over a year after he faced off with Castro and Soviet Leader Nikita Khrushchev over the placement of missiles in Cuba in what became known as the "Cuban Missile Crisis." The Soviet Union removed those missiles even though in later years several people contended that many of those missiles were left behind.

Shortly after Kennedy's death, President Johnson appointed a commission headed by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Earl Warren to investigate the assassination. One of the commission members was then House Republican Leader and later President Gerald R. Ford.

The Warren report concluded that Oswald for Kennedy's the assassination. The commission could not find any persuasive evidence of a conspiracy, either domestic or foreign involving any other persons, groups, or countries. The theory that Oswald acted alone is also informally called the lone gunman theory.

The commission also concluded that only three bullets were fired during the assassination, and that Lee Harvey Oswald fired all three bullets from the Texas School Book Depository behind the motorcade. It noted that three empty shells were found in the sixth floor sniper's nest in the book depository, and the rifle was found with one live cartridge left in its chamber on the sixth floor.

The commission released its report in 1964. Upon its release all commission files were sealed away from public view until 2039 by executive order of President Johnson. According to the 1992 Assassinations Records Review Board laws, other Kennedy all assassination related documents that have not been destroyed are scheduled to be released to the public by 2017.

BERLIN
Film: Cuban secret service organized JFK's murder
A Cuban secret service agent claims in a German film that his colleagues chose Lee Harvey Oswald to assassinate President John F. Kennedy in 1963.
BY HUGH WILLIAMSON
Financial Times

BERLIN - Hoping to scoop the world on one of America's supreme historical puzzles, Germany's leading television broadcaster has claimed in a documentary film that it was the Cuban secret service that organized the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The 90-minute film, Rendezvous with Death, features an interview with Oscar Marino, a former agent of the Cuban G2 secret service, who says he knew before the assassination in November 1963 that Lee Harvey Oswald -- Kennedy's killer -- had been picked by his colleagues to do the job.

''He offered to kill Kennedy, and we used him to do this,'' Marino says during the film, made by Wilfried Huismann, a prize-winning German director.

Marino claims that Oswald, a Communist who lived in the Soviet Union for three years, was identified to Cuba by the Russian KGB secret service.

In Havana, the official Granma newspaper Friday dismissed the documentary's claim, saying it was the latest chapter in the long history of efforts ``to annihilate the Cuban revolution.''

A Cuban involvement is one of the dozens of conspiracy theories that have long surrounded the JFK assassination. The Warren Commission concluded that Oswald acted alone.

Huismann, who worked on the project with Gus Russo, the Baltimore-based author of a book on Fidel Castro, told the Financial Times his exclusive interview with Marino provided ''decisive new evidence'' beyond the dozens of existing inquiries, books and films on the subject.

He admitted many Americans were ''very skeptical'' that he had solved the Kennedy assassination puzzle, but argued that his research focus on Mexico City -- which Oswald visited two months before the assassination in Dallas -- was his breakthrough. He interviewed Marino in the city, Huismann said, and gained exclusive access to parts of the country's secret service archive.

''I ask skeptical Kennedy assassination specialists - have you ever done research on the case in Mexico? Most, if not all, have not,'' he said.

Marino knew before the killing that Oswald had been recruited in Mexico City in September 1963 to do the killing, according to the filmmaker. In addition, in late 1962 the Cuban spy saw a list of about 100 foreign agents financed by the Cuban secret service. ''Oswald was on the list,'' Huismann said. The G2 decided to have Kennedy killed because it believed the U.S. government planned to kill Castro, according to the film.

Another key witness in the film is Lawrence Keenan, a retired FBI agent, who was sent to Mexico after the assassination to investigate Oswald's activities and says he was withdrawn after only a short time.

BS Pins Shooting of Pope on KGB Part 1

By Reed Irvine and Cliff Kincaid | June 19, 2001
"If Bulgarian agents were involved, then the government of Bulgaria was involved. If Bulgaria was involved, the Soviet Union was involved."

On May 29, "60 Minutes II" pinned the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II twenty years ago on the Soviet Union's KGB. This belatedly made up for the failure of CBS to give this story the attention it deserved when it first surfaced in November-December 1982. Three Bulgarians were arrested in Italy after Ali Agca, the Turk who shot the Pope, claimed that the Bulgarian Special Services was behind the plot. They made the plans, furnished the gun, took him to Saint Peter's Square, promised to help him escape and paid him three million German marks.

Ali Agca talked after he had been in prison for eighteen months and no effort had been made to free him. Dan Rather reacted in a radio broadcast in which he said that if true, this would be the story of the decade. He explained: "If Bulgarian agents were involved, then the government of Bulgaria was involved. If Bulgaria was involved, the Soviet Union was involved. Why? Because it has long been accepted as fact that Bulgaria does nothing without marching orders from the Kremlin." But a week later, when Italy made official statements that included calling the Bulgarian actions "an act of war," the CBS Evening News aired only a 35-second report.

CBS was not alone in brushing off this important story. A French paper had quoted the former head of the Bulgarian Special Services who said, "On operations of a truly international character, they always follow the directives of the KGB." Terrorism expert Claire Sterling quoted that statement on "Nightline," the only publicity that it got in our national media at that time.

Most media were skittish about covering this story, perhaps because Yuri Andropov, who ran the KGB when the Pope was shot, had just become president of the Soviet Union. White House spokesman Larry Speakes refused to comment on reports linking Bulgaria to the plot and would not even confirm that Bulgarian intelligence was linked to the KGB. The State Department and CIA were also silent. It was reported that intelligence officials remained unconvinced by allegations in Italy that Bulgaria was behind the plot.

The New York Times helped absolve Andropov in an editorial on December 18, 1982. It gave three absurd explanations of what might have happened. One was that Agca "might have found help in Bulgaria solely from a flourishing underworld of arms and drug smugglers." Another was, "zealous Bulgarian security agents might have acted on their own, without clearance from their Soviet allies." Finally, it said that "a government's ambiguous signal might have been construed as a wink of approval."

Having exposed the involvement of the Bulgarians, Ali Agca was the most important witness at their trial. The case was solid, but at the trial Ali Agca claimed to be Jesus Christ reincarnated. He was promptly labeled a madman. The trial was halted and the defendants were sent home. In our next commentary we will tell how "60 Minutes" found the explanation for Ali Agca's bizarre behavior and validated the Bulgarian-KGB role in the plot to kill the Pope.

CBS Pins Shooting of Pope on KGB Part 2
By Reed Irvine and Cliff Kincaid | June 20, 2001
"Find a way to discredit the trial, or the KGB will find a way to kill you."

In our last commentary we showed how the media in 1982 had given inadequate attention to revelations that the Bulgarian secret service, which was then a puppet of the Soviet KGB, was behind the plot to kill Pope John Paul II. That was revealed by Ali Agca, the Turk who shot the Pope. We reported that "60 Minutes II" had recently obtained new information that explains why, in 1985, Agca sabotaged the trial of three Bulgarians who were his co-conspirators. Agca, the key witness in the trial, discredited himself, terminating the trial by claiming to be Jesus Christ reincarnated.

"60 Minutes" had obtained a copy of a long letter handwritten by Ali Agca to an Italian lawyer, Ferdinando Imposimato, who had been chief prosecutor in the case and had spent many hours talking to Ali Agca. Imposimato had kept the letter under wraps for more than three years before giving it to "60 Minutes." It claimed that the KGB was behind the plot to kill the Pope and that there was a KGB colonel who could confirm this.

In the letter, Agca explained that was why he proclaimed himself to be Jesus Christ. He said that before the trial, a Bulgarian lawyer named Stefan Markov came to question him in prison. He said Markov told him: "Find a way to discredit the trial, or the KGB will find a way to kill you." He took the warning seriously. He decided to feign insanity, and he began to claim that he was Jesus Christ reincarnated. He made that claim at the trial, and the prosecutors saw that they had lost their key witness. They halted the trial and the three Bulgarian agents were freed and sent back to Bulgaria.

"60 Minutes" had obtained the letter from an Italian lawyer named Ferdinando Imposimato who had investigated the attempt on the Pope's life for nearly 20 years. He had many hours of conversations with Agca when he was imprisoned in Italy. He was convinced that the KGB was involved in the assassination attempt and that the Bulgarians were acting as their agents. He did not believe that Agca was crazy, but it was not until he got his letter some three years ago that he understood why he had feigned insanity.

..... "60 Minutes" found Stefan Markov in Bulgaria. He said that the KGB and the Bulgarian Special Services were not involved in the plot to kill the Pope. He claimed his questioning of Agca was monitored by the Italians. But "60 Minutes" learned that during breaks Markov could have given Agca a message in Turkish that the Italian magistrate would not have understood.

Markov insisted that Agca had lied about the three Bulgarians who were put on trial, but Agca had shown that he knew a lot about them. He described the apartment of Sergei Antonov, the top agent, very accurately. Imposimato said he brought the two men together, and Agca confronted Antonov with so many details that Antonov could not explain that he became very angry. The "60 Minutes" segment, in explaining why Agca sabotaged the trial of the Bulgarians who directed his attack on the Pope, made an important contribution to history. A Nexis search could not find a single story reporting that contribution in the print or electronic media.

Quotes on Russia: Golitsyn was right!!

The outstanding blog Once Upon a Time in the West , cites many quotes that put light on the real role of Russia in the present (aka "Golotisyn was right") :

"There is no such thing as a former KGB man".
-- Vladimir Putin, Russian Federation President, 2005

"Russia has ceased being a free and democratic country".
-- Andrei Illarionov, Putin's former economic advisor, 2005

"It stretches credulity to its absolute bounds to think that suddenly, overnight, all those who were Communists will suddenly adopt a new philosophy and belief, with the result that everything will be different. I use this opportunity to warn the House and the country that that is not the truth".
-- Christopher Gill, British parliamentarian, 1995

"In October 1917 we parted with the old world, rejecting it once and for all. We are moving towards a new world, the world of communism. We shall never turn off that road"!
-- Mikhail Gorbachev, General Secretary, CPSU, 1987

"Yet it was, in reality, one of the shrewdest pieces of international hoodwinking in historical record . . . So the Comintern was dissolved [in 1943], and the misguided democratic world rejoiced . . . A glance at your newspaper will show that the former Comintern officers had little difficulty in finding new employment. The Comintern was never dissolved . . . Military Intelligence took over the old chores of the Comintern. It became an active part of the Soviet Fifth Column in democratic countries".
-- Igor Gouzenko, This Was My Choice, 1948

The Rise and Fall of Castro

Searching for videos on video.google.com, I found these two.

Cuba's revolution in two times.

First: The arrival of Castro & Che in Havana (1959).

People on the streets celebrating the "revolucion".It makes me wonder how bad things always look good in the beginning (it remembers me Hitler in Germany).

Second: The fall of Castro.
A thing that most of Cuban people dream of today.

More reviews of this humble blog.

This came from PBS page ( www.pbs.org).

"Swimming Against the Red Tide

This is a blog written by a Brazilian conservative who, in his words, has been "almost drowned by the giant socialist-totalitarian tsunami that's flooding Brazil." His criticism of the Latin American left, from Allende to Da Silva, has been convincing enough to get him noticed by the National Review."

Latin America´s "Fourhorsemen of the Apocalypse"

Gilberto Simões Pires is a very critic web-journalist. He is libertarian and conservative too. He has a webpage called "Ponto Crítico" (critical point). It is in http://www.pontocritico.com
He published a very good definition of the "fantastic 4" of Latin America (Lula, Chavez, Kirchner and now Evo). They are the "Fourhorsemen of the Apocalypse".

Read this:

--------------------------------------
The Fourhorsemen of the Apocalypse

"The presidents: Lula, Kirchner and Chávez, all of them belonging to the idelogical left, they are not just friends - as the media puts out. These three , added now by Evo Morales - since yesterday the new Bolivia´s president - are really brothers of blood. Communist blood flows through their dangerous, revolutionary veins. They form, nowadays, the "Fourhorsemen of the Apocalypse". I don´t intend to be a new Jules Vernes by saying that - antecipating the events that will follow shortly in Latin America. Even not attending to any future teller classes, I am convinced that the current status of the revolution is in an advanced stage".

Russia, China want talks not sanctions on Iran
Tue Jan 17, 2006 11:14 AM GMT164

By Oleg Shchedrov
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia and China made clear on Tuesday they did not favour U.N. sanctions to induce Iran to scale back its nuclear programme, advocating more negotiations.
Their comments revealed a continuing lack of consensus among world powers over whether the U.N. Security Council should take up Iran's case and what action it should consider.
Germany earlier said Council members remained at odds on the Iranian nuclear issue after talks in London on Monday among the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany.
Washington and its European Union allies say EU-led talks with Iran have failed to quell suspicion that Tehran is seeking a nuclear bomb, despite its denials, and it is time the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency sent the case to the Security Council.
The Council could eventually decide to impose diplomatic or trade sanctions on Iran, though this would depend on the consent of its five permanent members, including Russia and China.
"The question of sanctions against Iran puts the cart before the horse. Sanctions are in no way the best, or the only, way to solve the problem," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
He said years of international sanctions against Iraq had failed to change the behaviour of ousted leader Saddam Hussein.
Moscow's $1 billion stake in building Iran's first atomic reactor gives it potential leverage over Tehran.
President Vladimir Putin hinted on Monday that Moscow was losing patience with Iran after it resumed nuclear fuel research last week, but he warned against any "abrupt, erroneous steps".
He also said after talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Moscow on Monday that Russia, European countries and the United States had "very close positions" on Iran.
Lavrov told a news briefing that Russia's offer to enrich uranium for Iran remained on the table. Tehran has sent mixed signals on the idea, which has tentative EU and U.S. support.
EU DIPLOMACY
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan said his country favoured EU diplomacy to resolve the crisis.
"So we think the most urgent thing for all the parties now is still to keep patient and make utmost efforts to resume the negotiations between the EU3 and Iran," he said.
China said last week that resorting to the Security Council might "complicate the issue", citing Iran's threat to hit back by halting snap U.N. inspections of its atomic plants.
Britain, France and Germany ended more than two years of talks with Iran last week after Tehran removed U.N. seals on equipment for enriching uranium in a research programme that could further its quest for nuclear energy -- or for bombs.
"We hope the Iranian side can cooperate with the efforts by the international community to restart the diplomatic negotiations and resolve the nuclear issue properly," said Kong, whose country gets 12 percent of its oil imports from Iran.
German Deputy Foreign Minister Gernot Erler confirmed that the London talks had produced agreement on convening a meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on February 2.
But he said world powers that met in London on Monday were still divided on the purpose and content of a planned IAEA resolution referring Iran to the Security Council.
"We remain in talks about what should be decided there and what the role of the United Nations should be," Erler said, referring to the meeting of the IAEA.
EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana had said he was confident China and Russia would back the EU in sending the issue to the Security Council. In their comments on Tuesday, neither country said it would block referral at the IAEA.
Erler said it remained important to seek a diplomatic solution to the impasse over Iran's nuclear programme.
"Western states and the Europeans are ready at any time to restart talks, but only if Iran fulfils the pledges it has made," he said.

Sao Paolo Forum: the backbone of communism & terrorism spread in Latin America

Vcrisis.com , a website created by Alexsander Boyd to expose to the world what's goin on in Venezuela, published a very good interview with Brazilian philosopher Olavo de Carvalho. It reveals the true nature of an entity named as "Sao Paulo Forum", (quoted by me many times here). It's a must to understand what is going on in Latin America.

Sao Paolo Forum: the backbone of communism & terrorism spread in Latin America | www.vcrisis.com: "Sao Paolo Forum: the backbone of communism & terrorism spread in Latin America
Aleksander Boyd interviews Olavo de Carvalho

21.11.05 | Recently I had the chance to spend some time with an extraordinary individual. Of Brazilian origin, this university professor, thinker, philosopher and self-made investigative journalist revealed a wholly unknown reality -for me at least- vis-a-vis the nature of the Sao Paolo Forum; its members and its carefully orchestrated political goals. Often one tends to incur in the mistake of judging situations isolatedly, which, according to Olavo de Carvalho, shows not only ignorance but naivete. Aghast with the wealth of knowledge that Olavo commands on Brazilian and regional politics, I intended to unravel through a series of questions the reasons behind the emergence of 'leftist' movements and leaders across Latin America. Olavo's take is factual, radical and very much detached from the usual nonsense that one encounters in the mainstream media. Hopefully readers of this site will find his opinions illuminating, as I did.

- Olavo, you contend that the neocommunist surge in Latin America is not a spontaneous phenomena but rather the result of the successful implementation of strategies devised by Antonio Gramsci. Could you please expand into the philosophical/political underpinnings of Gramsci's methodology?

Gramsci, side by side with the frankfurtians and the Hungarian philosopher Georg Lukacs, is one of the top masterminds of the so-called “cultural marxism”, which is not a school of thought but a bunch of heterogeneous proposals having in common the hate to Western civilization, and the belief that, the cultural war against it, should precede and guide the political fight for socialism. Somewhat cultural marxism is at the same time the apex of marxism and its nemesis. On the one hand, it delivers the marxist thought from the chains of soviet mediocre orthodoxy and provides it with a considerable amount of intellectual sophistication; on the other, it destroys from the inside the marxist doctrine of history, emphasizing the primacy of cultural factors over the economic ones. Economic arguments that occasionaly drop from the mouths of cultural marxists are but lip service they pay to communist tradition, but in the final practical account their inner belief is that “ideas have consequences”. They try to accomplish the practical goals of marxism by means that disavow its theory.

But while the aforementioned authors focused mainly in theoretical issues, Gramsci, who was the founder and leader of the Italian Communist Party, was interested above all in practical results. He created the strategy and the tactics of the “cultural revolution” that should pave the way for the seizure of State power by the communists. The cultural revolution should be a subtle and almost imperceptible transformation of the collective mind, intented to induce everybody to think, to feel and to act according to the tenets of socialism without being consciously socialists. Socialist symbols and values under some other name should be inocculated in the souls of people since early age. Disguised socialist influence should spread to every field of human social existence, including private life and the most intimate feelings. Child care, medicine, psychoterapy, religion and marriage counseling were preferential channels for the transmission of that influence. Christian churches, for instance, should not be criticized, but infiltrated in order to deprive them of their spiritual content and use them as megaphones for communist watchwords. At the same time, disguised communists should occupy all the posts in educational, cultural and media organizations, gradually and carefully expelling their opponents to the last man. Communist ideology should recast all the language of public conversations, in order to provide that every circulating opinion contributes unconsciously to communist-fabricated general results.

The perverted character of the whole scheme is clearly psychopatic, but so much dangerous at that. Gramsci was an admirer of Machiavelli and he believed that the Communist Party should be “The New Prince”, ruling over the whole of society “with the invisible and omnipresent authority of a categoric imperative, of a divine commandment” (sic). Only after acquiring such amount of psychological mastership over society should the Party try to conquer the State, at a time when the very possibility of finding some serious resistence was already eliminated.

- Can we assume that the weak footing upon which parties associated with pro-democracy, rule of law, decentralization and free markets values in the region is but the unconscious resultant of Gramsci's plan?

Of course. The cultural changes affect everyone far beyond the focus of its political beliefs. One may remain a conservative in politics while making so many little concessions in one's language, in one's morals, in one's general cultural outlook, that one's conservatism looses its emotional strenght and its capacity to fight. You may verify it yourself: while communists are free to preach today the same things they preached thirty years ago, with the only difference that they receive ever warmer welcomes in any elegant environment, conservatives that remain faithful to the ideals of Robert Taft or Barry Goldwater are blamed as extremists even by their fellow conservatives.

- To what extent Gramsci's theories resemble those of dictator Fidel Castro?

Fidel Castro comes from a different ideological background. He followed the old leninist strategy of the armed vanguard that seizes power by violence and creates a new society from the top. Only when he hit his head against the wall of limits opposed to the armed revolutionary spreading, in the 70’s, he had the joyful surprise to be informed that many of his fellows from other Communist parties in Latin America were already high in the practice of a new and smarter revolutionary technique. The defeat of the guerrillas was immediately followed by the general adoption of the Gramscian long term strategy, that obviously didn’t renounce to the use of violence but postponed it to a far better occasion. Castro welcomed the new strategy and adapted to it very efficiently. He managed to stop the guerrilla fighting and to make up Latin America communist parties to work along Gramscian guidelines. The reflux of the guerrilla movement was celebrated by almost every non-communist politician, journalist and businessman in Latin America as a sign of the “death of communism”. This mistake was due to the fact that these people cared only for the visible surface of political, military and economic facts, giving little or no attention to deep and large scale transformations in the social and cultural background that was precisely the chosen field for the expansion of communist activity at that time.

"Political Correctness": One of the threats to the Brazilian democracy

Published on www.votebrasil.com.br and midiasemmascara.org sites.*

Translated from portuguese by the author with the help from Pedro Mallmann

"New Year, New life", is one of the popular sayings this time of the year, but it could as well turn out to be true in this very year of 2006.

So many analyses have been made on the possible outcomes of the political events of the year - the implosion - "from the inside" – of what used to be known as the "historical struggles" of the Workers' Party (ethics, truthfulness, struggle against corruption and poverty) and the surprising result of the referendum on the ban on arms sales in Brazil. Some of the analyses pointed out the latter as some kind of a plebiscite on the government, unveiling the rejection of the speech of the winning party, the very speech with which they won the 2002 elections. But it only points out a rejection in political-partisan terms.

This is a partial view of the events. In reality, the defeat of the "Yes" in the referendum was a clue that a much bigger chain - bigger than political-partisan choices - was defeated. This chain is ' the politically correct ' thought.

The "politically correct" can be defined as a type of ' wishful-thinking' that is self-achieved through the mantric repetition of words of order. These words are carefully chosen to define the reality in a differentiated manner, thus having the power of modifying the way people think about it, and ending by modifying reality itself. The basic premise is that 'reality' is subjective in essence, therefore being an exclusively personal good. By modifying this personal vision of reality through the Pavlovian conditioning of repetition, reality will be finally modified. Therefore reality is just a set of personal realities.

Initially received as a pseudo-intellectualized extravagance, it went on – by the means of a very careful dissemination plan by the 'cultural elite' – contaminating all environments it got in touch with. Its emergence to political campaign speeches and to the country's largest newspaper leads was the sign of the victory of political correctness in the market of ideas 'that sell'. From this point on - defined temporally in the 90's – there were no political speeches or political news left without incorporating the flavor of political correctness; if not political correctness itself incorporating the speeches.

All political parties were misled by 'political correctness'. They all started to sound and to act as 'pc'. From right-wing to leftist parties, they all missed the point on the real nature of 'pc'. The result was that we came to a point that all parties lost their identity, as far as the public is concerned.

The lack of parties with electoral "persona" had its pinnacle in the presidential election of 2002, where all options seemed absolutely the same, and leaving it up to the electorate to choose between neckties, suits and hairdos. The apparent convergence of thought was so evident that all the 'adversaries' of 2002 ended up forming the support base of the new government in 2003. This lack of political identity caused by the overwhelming success of politically correct is a threat to the Brazilian democracy. The lack of a broad range of political-partisan options is a mistake that has to be corrected. When I mention political-partisan options, I do not refer to the number of parties - which I consider excessive in Brazil - but to their political colors.

The conclusion is that, by means of the politically correct speech, political parties in Brazil were transformed into uncolored, odorless jelly of slogans totally detached from the voters' real world. The result of the referendum on the ban of arms sales was a clear sign to the political class for them to avoid the excess of politically correct speech and pay more attention to the real world.

In spite of the apparent popular support to the political correctness, the formula seems worn out. The adorned speech, full of good intentions, disclosed its major victim after all: the political class. The witchcraft struck back against the wizard. The public perceived that, behind the good intentions, the real intention could be very diverse, in terms of a Brazilian new edition of Orwell's doublethink. The overwhelming victory of the 'NO' vote in the referendum was a good expression of the exhaustion of "PC". Never have emotional appeals had so little attention. And never have words like 'individual rights' and 'freedom of choice' been so much debated in this country.

I hope this is the symbol of a new stage of Brazilian democracy. I anxiously look forward to the next chapters.

Happy New Year!

Another terror video from North Korea: Public executions goes on

Blogger R..J. Rummel has a blog called "Democratic Peace" where there's a link to a terrifying video on public executions in North Korea.

While crowds still marching against the USA all around the world, the reds are silently (with the help from the biased media) doing what they know better: to kill people.

" Video Proof: Public Executions in North Korea ", secretly taped and smuggled out at great risk, capture two outdoor trials. Each of these public trials is followed immediately by executions. No time is wasted on appeals."See "One Free Korea for more videos and information."

China and Russia: red comrades don't forget who is the 'enemy'

A new - and extraordinary - blog called "Once Upon a Time in West" updates Golitsyn 'predictions' by an accurate news analysis and prove the old communist defector - that gave us outstanding books like "New Lies For Old" and "Perestroika Deception" - is still ahead of the news.
He predicted a new communist alliance between China and Russia, now free to do whatever they want without being labled as 'communist' anymore.
What is happening now? China and Russia are playing 'war'.

It stinks like a new world dominance plot...(depressed)

"Following the much-ballyhooed demise of communism in Russia, the "ex"-communist leaders of Russia saw fit to establish a strategic partnership with their former, openly communist "enemy" in China. Fast forward to "Peace Mission" 2005, the first-ever joint military exercise between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China. "

The times are getting rough

Just minutes after the last post, I received an e-mail informing that one the most famous TV's anchor in Brazil - Boris Casoy, that starred a national news show that was very critical of Federal Government - was fired by the pressure from Lula da Silva's government.

2006 is an election year and is clear that Lula's administration is very doubtful on its probability to win. People are very suspicious of his real intentions, after the all the corruption cases were disclosed last year. Their only hope is try to shut-up the opposition voices and their critics.

Lula tried the "popular democratic" way to control the press, when he aired the intention to create a kind of 'press committee' ruled by the press unions . The initiative was withdraw after the bad repercussion on the media.

But now is a question of life and death to the Sao Paulo Forum project. Evo Morales took the power in Bolivia, thanks to the Venezuelan and Cuban money and its urgent to keep Lula in the government. He is one of the Forum's foundation stone, and forum is about to achieve its goal: "to recover in Latin America what was lost in East Europe".

Until now, Lula tried to hide his original intentions, but now there's no need to disguise it. The project is in danger. So Worker's Party is doing what they used to do before: control the press by denying advertise money - the money that's the core of all TV network's budget in Brazil.

Boris Casoy, was the only person that asked directly Lula about Sao Paulo Forum in 2002, during his campaign that year.

Now that's clear: Lula dropped the mask and reveal himself as new Chavez-wannabe.

The times they are a changin´? Communist site is out of best site dispute in Brazil

Can it be a sign that the times are really changing in Brazil?
For the last five years, Communist Party of Brazil (a dissident branch old Communist Party that led the Chinese/Albanian revolution model) was listed as one the best websites about politics in Brazil.
Media Without Mask - the site a use to write - entered the pool last year and still there.

The poor communists lost their rank. This year they not even mentioned on the list of the ten best sites.

According to their site:
Red Diary .::: Obscured criteria keep "Vermelho" website out from the dispute for the best Brazilian website of the year :::.: "In the category named Citizenry/Politics this year were nominated the following sites: Política Para Políticos, Duplipensar, Revista Caros Amigos, Senado Federal, Franklin Martins, Mídia Sem Máscara, Blog do Noblat, VoteBrasil, Claudio Humberto e Câmara dos Deputados"

Is it a sign that Brazil youth is fed-up with this lefty-empty speech?

I hope so.

But there´s still left supremacy on the list, most of the sites are left or middle-of-the-road embedded with tons of political correctness views.

While Iraq is rising, Latin America is sinking: Bolivia on the spot

The victory of Evo Morales in Bolivia represents another fallback in the landscape of Latin America. The winner strategy from Sao Paulo Forum to take over the continent made Bolivia as its new victim. Is curious that the agent is always travestied as a people's man.
Just like Brazil (Lula was an union leader) Bolivia has chosen a man that is representative of the majority of its people: and indigenous leader.

It made all the sense: to make any kind of socialist revolution to work the process must be disguised as a spontaneous will from the people. The question is that Evo could turn out to be another Chávez or another Alejandro Toledo.

This review, made by Graça Salgueiro last sunday- on her website "Notalatina" give us some hint on the subject. We have reasons to be utterly worried...

..And today another presidential election succeeded in Latin America, this time in a tumultuated and capricious Bolivia. The preferential candidate, according to the last polls,  was the  'cocalero' Evo Morales, with his 48% of voting share . Even if I still not confirmated the results, that only will be divulged tomorrow, we have no doubt that the Brazilian President Lula's and the Sao Paulo Forum candidate is the winner and I explain why.

In the 2002 elections Morales, despite the explicit support from the Sao Paulo Forum deliberations, lost the elections for Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada but he promised that he would make his government totally impracticable and he will not leave the scene so easily. Through the "nets" (social movements) support, the man brought the hell to the country, with street manifestations  (nothing spontaneous), agitations, riots, invasions, depredations, at last, all those "playful activities" well known for all of us. Lozada resigned and leave for his vice , Carlos Mesa that, equally, did not have any conditions to conclude the mandate, because of the  pressure from those mobs, resigning in June of that year. Many Cuban "G-2" agents "helped" the street fighters and clashes that lead Mesa government to a demoralization and continued their pressure in the Eduardo Rodriguez government too, turned it into a incapable government.

Now Morales returns, with the explicit support from the "Evil Axis" (Lula da Silva + Chávez + Kirchner + Fidel) , and others Latin American Communists leaders like Tabaré Vazquez (Uruguay), the defeated presidential candidate in El Salvador's last elections, Shafik Handal, wanna-be candidate to Nicaragua, 'sandinista' Daniel Ortega, not to mention Mandela, Zapatero, China and France .

Amongst Evo's projects is to convoke a Constitutional conventional, just like his comrade Chávez did, in order to change the effective constitution. According to their own  words, "We will finish the colonial State through a Constitutional conventional (to remodel the Constitution) that's in the way to refound Bolivia. This means that in the Military College not only 'creole' people could enter, but also indigenous people. They would be official. In Justice Hall, in the Supreme Court, we want aboriginals too. We want to change the form people is served, life for the people. To live for the politics and not of the politics. And all the natural resources must be in the hands of the State, that needs partners and not owners or masters ".

.

Although it always been denied, his model of government is the "bolivarian government" and Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro are his idols. He even participated, in a TV program called "Alô! President" carried out in Havana, where the "commitment" was consolidated to lead Evo to power in Bolivia. It has a rumour that Evo Morales was back funded by Venezuela and Cuba in his electoral campaign. It was not proved at all (just like here with Worker's Party) but I do not doubt, considering that his party, the Movement to the Socialism (MAS) is member of the Sao Paulo Forum".

She concluded on the importance of this process.

"The importance is that the communist ring is getting tigher and tigher, transforming Latin America into a dream come true to the Caribbean's Vulture (maybe even before he passes over Cuba), as announced in the kick-off meeting of Sao Paulo Forum, back in 1990, "to recover in Latin America what it was lost in the East Europe" .

Iraq Democracy: Louder than bombs!

While BBC edited out "terrorism" from its coverage (see previous post) , Iraqis are cutting terrorism from their lives using the ultimate 'weapon of terror destruction': democracy!

Read this from the blog called IRAQ THE MODEL: "Like eyelashes close in delight upon the sight of one's lover, the boxes closed their lips on Iraqis' ballots.
The tyrants forced us to remain silent for decades but yesterday our fingers spoke out loud in purple.
The fingers wore their purple wedding dress while the enemies wore the black of hatred and evil.
Elections have become the new tradition of Iraqis, those new democrats who proudly want to show the world their new experiment but on the other side there are our "cousins" who still want us to go back to the sheep barn.

We marched to vote and we respected our differences while Saddam is creeping in his cage chewing on his hatred.

From 59 to 64 to 70%...in one year our people have proven that the future belongs to them and not those whose claws scarred Iraq's neck.

A few bombs and some bullets, that's all what the terrorists could do to interrupt the carnival in Baghdad. The people heard the explosions but those weren't loud enough to distract the marching hearts from their destination. I saw our policemen yesterday showing their hearts too when they refused to wear their armors, maybe because they didn't want to let anything stand between our hearts from theirs."

Happy Xmas

Finally is official: BBC news banned the word "terrorist"

After many back-and-forths on the subject, British BBC news officially banned the word "terrorist" from its dictionary.

This news was informed by Argentinian Clarin Digital. According to it the motivation behind is "because (the use of the word 'terrorist') could put a barrier in the place of help".

The newtork news suggested the use of the terms "bomber" or "offender" instead of Terrorist.

For those who got along the news on terrorism offered by BBC must reminded that this issue deserved many reviews on media watch sites all over the world.

The terrorist attacks in London this year caused a commotion on BBC. They first edited out the word from its coverage.

Then - in a sudden glimpse of rationality - they used the term again (" BBC calls terrorism terrorism").

But now it seems final.

We must congratule BBC to achieved something that even GWB couldn´t do over the last four years: BBC has defeated 'terrorism'!!!
And did it only by means of a press-release!!
And there´s people that criticize Political Correctness on news.

It seems that the better way to solve a problem is to deny its existence. But as we are on a Xmas eve, I suggest that - if it couldn´t solve this - they can put it into the Santa´s wishlist.

Down with Logic!

Here´s my manifesto. An one-man-stand-manifesto. A man tired of endless explanation about everything: Down with logic!

After a long time trying to search logic arguments to bind my perceptions; to create propositions that could explain my own intuitive insights on a clear, objective and 'irrefutable' way, I came across a conclusion that this effort is somehow useless. And almost a detour to the real search of truth

The core of the question is that my perceptions come 'a priori', before their explanations. My conclusions are born already finished and even so - I act as if they themselves are not enough - I begin to search for mental schemes that better fit on a logic explanation that could define my perceptions in a objective way.

But it happens that the nature of these perceptions are diametral opposed to the rationalizing schemes: the former is born in the dark room of my mind, acting independently on creating links between apparently disconnected events and taking 'ready-made' conclusions out of the hat. While the latter is the opposite. Logic - if well used - serve as a path to the true. The conclusion is if you did not use logical paths to come to the conclusion, to use logic to explain what was perceived by intuition is a mistake. Is a attempt to transform the perception of truth on a kind of mental play.

This kind of 'impressionist' thinking is more or less like what Marcel Duchamp used to do in the 20th century´s 'avant-garde': to find new meanings to old or common objects. If you try to do a kind of reverse engineering on the subject, you can find yourself on a nowhere land. Or in a even worst place.

The brilliant a 'calculus' demonstration may appears it always will be based on two foundation pillars: logic and its cousin-brother, mathematics. And these two lead us to a world of mandatory demonstrations from time to time.

And with this, everything becomes solid and solid & sensible is the world of economy and sensations. To try to explain human motivations and needs uniquely by sensorial and economic elements without taking the real nature of human spirit into account is a formidable reduction.

How can we explain God in logic terms? Of course is possible to catalog clues and to number out subtle evidence of His presence using those paths, but those demonstrations, even the most evident ones, demand some talent for abstraction of the hearer almost to the same level of speaker´s abstraction to be fully perceived.

By all means, my auto-definition as 'classic-liberal-conservative' is much more a kind of mental habit - of trying to catalog my beliefs into something eatable and reasonably known by the common-sense - than a real explanation of myself.

I believe that every human being and in special his thoughts are uncatalogable by nature. Everyone is an island. But we live in a world that seems that everybody is thinking the same way or some values - like the militant leftism - gained a false importance over others values, so this 'conservative' label serve as an unmistakable declaration of contrariety.

Like and old song from an old Brazilian rock band that used to say 'I feel like a foreigner, a passenger from a train, that does not come here'. This definition maybe appeared on automatic-writing from the (leftist) author but it´s a expression of truth.

My own definition as 'classic-liberal-conservative' is before all a declaration of war. And the same time a declaration on faith on the balance. Because 'liberal' and 'conservative' can only survive if they live in an egalitarian arrangement. Like Aristotle´s words "to keep everything in its right measure". This is the real secret.

And declare war against easy definitions, to the mental plays that lead many people or to a kind of childhood´s leftism or to a radical economicism - both sides of the same coin.

And as 'coin' is a very specific economy subject I keep out from this question.

(To be continued).

Sao Paulo Forum strikes back: Brazilian Pres. Lula da Silva supports Evo Morales in Bolivian elections. No surprises.

Did anybody get surprised about Lula da Silva supporting Evo Morales, the "cocalero", on Bolivia? They have been comrades at Sao Paulo Forum for fifteen years!!

For the useful idiots, that think that Sao Paulo Forum is just a 'debate group' - with no decision nor political struggle features - the last Lula´s speech is - once more - crystal as water on the subject. Read these excerpts from the news.

On folha de Sao Paulo website at 11/30/05

"Look at what Chávez election meant to Venezuela. Just imagine what would mean if Evo Morales won the Bolivian election. They are extraordinary changes that even the most brilliant political scientists of our countries would not be able to write"

´O Globo from 11/30/05

"Lula supports Morales in Bolivia

PUERTO IGUAZÚ, Argentina. Three weeks ahead of the Bolivian elections, the Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva publicly declared yesterday (11/29/05) , his preference for the congressman and 'cocalero' leader Evo Morales. In a improvised speech, on the meeting with Argentina´s president, Néstor Kirchner, to celebrate 20th annivesary of Mercosul (common market of South America) , Lula assured that if Evo Morales won the election on December 18th , it would mean a extraordinary change in the region".

Comment : For those who believe in the 'canasta card game club' , I mean, 'debate group' version of Sao Paulo Forum, I bet: Show me one declaration, speech, intention or action from Brazilian president which is contrary to any resolution from Sao Paulo Forum. Or even opposed to other Forum´s participant. If there´s any, I will surrender to evidence. And I am going to dedicate myself to card games, too.

From Media Without Mask website: Lula's Minister of Economy is the extra-official Colombia's terrorist group representative in Brazil!

In a sensational article, Heitor de Paola, one of the most prolificous editors from Media Without Mask website in Brazil, has revealed a true atomic bomb: Antonio Palocci, Lula's 2002 campaign chief and now the almighty minister of economy is in fact the extra-official representative of FARC (major drug-dealing-terrorist group in Colombia) interests in Brazil.
He created a pro-Farc committee in 2002 when he was the mayor of the city of Ribeirao Preto. Heitor has found this news that was published only in the local newspapers NINE MONTHS after the fact, when Palocci was already in charge of Lula da Silva campaign that year. The information was totally hidden from a larger audience since that time, surviving only as a rumour. Now , when the Cuba-Lula affair has put Palocci under fire, that it emerged again. Read the details here:

"I have denounced, together with other columnists from Media without Mask website that the 'motherland saviour' , Minister of Economy Antonio Palocci Filho, is not waht it seems, he is the extra-official representative of Colombian drug-dealing-terrorist group called FUERZAS ARMADAS REVOLUCIONARIAS DE COLOMBIA - FARC in Brazil. And his performance in charge of Brazil's economy is part of a genius plan from the SAO PAULO FORUM (fsp) to mold the economy in the false 'stability' axis where it is, with incredibly high interest rates and daily bankrupt of hundreds of companies while banks are profitting as ever!, to serve as a support of a totalitarian project of Fidel, Chávez and Luila to Latin America".

Here's the proof of Palocci-Farc link.

Media Without Mask: "It's a text by Joel Silva, Free Lancer and Marcelo Toledo, reporters from a newspaper called “Folha de Ribeirao” with the collaboration of Evandro Spinelli, dating march, 10th, 2002, that was only made available through the internet nine months later, in december, 10th, 2002 and, as a magic trick. disappeared until now. The title is 'Dangerous Liasons - Group wants to spread the 'causes' from FARC'. It continued 'PT's (worker party) secretary launched a supportive committe to the Colombian guerrilla'. This is the text"

" The ofice will be officially launched march, 20th, in the executive chamber of Ribeirao Preto's . The office will be localized at 'citizens temple', a non-profit cultural organization, whose Palocci is one of the founder-members. The group will be called 'Solidarity to the Colombian People and to the National Liberation Movements Committee' (....)

Part o f the committee says they want to defend the causes of FARC, but not its violence. 'The idea is the we could spread to all Brazil the situation of Colombian people and the true causes of the FARC's fight against the local government'. One of the members, Paulino, is radical : 'I don't think that elections will solve (the problems of Brazil), it's the revolution. Today in Brazil thereś no condition to make an armed revolution, but not in Colombia. They (FARC) have an organized military.

Palocci and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva were not found to speak about the episode yesterday. The committee will gather pro-Farc signatures and will defend the Farc's arguments around Brazil. During the launching a guerilla's activist will be present. 'We need to speak out and to launch Farc's committees all around the world to denounce the problems that occurred in that country', said Beto Cangussú (PT) - on of the founders.

To 'seal the deal', there was a meeting in Ribeirao Preto joining Paulino and Oliverio Medina - the unofficial Farc's spokenperson in Brazil, that even was got caught in 2000, accused from terrorist activities by Colombian government (note: Medina is under arrest right now in Brazil , on a eve of his expulsion to Colombia)."

Comments:
Nothing to comment. Only a question : Am I being too paranoid? No, just like Andy Grove's (Intel Chairman) book said "Only the paranoid survive"!!

What´s behind the MSMedia explanations for French riots: Blame the West first!

Philosopher Olavo de Carvalho explains what is behind the Mainstream Media 'causes'  for the French-Muslim riots, what is behind the 'poor and young immigrants'  'victims' of 'western lack of compassion':

1- "Every western nation has an obligation to give immediately to immigrants from Asia and Africa – aside from the question if they came legal or illegally – the same living standards from the families that inherited it after centuries of hard work. If the State do not does it, is because it is racist and because capitalism is unfair intrinsically".

2 - "If Islamic or Communist countries give no rights to any foreign citizen, if they openly discriminate them or even reduce them to second class citizens, like in Iran, this is not a big deal, because western nations must be judged strictlly under absolute and unconditional moral patterns, while their adversaries must benefited by the cultural relativism".

The name of the article is 'Assimetric  Media' and was published  on Media Without Mask  website.

This time I think they are forgetting to blame president Bush. Or not? Let´s wait...

Brazilian Gramscian Revolution or How to be a invisible-communist

Brazilian Gramscian Revolution or How to be a invisible-communist

Openly declare your thankfulness, admiration, even send money to Fidel and still make people believe that you are not a communist

this article was published on http://collisioncommentary.com website.

The first part is history by now. Deputy Roberto Jefferson denounced half-cabinet of Lula da Silva of being part of a huge corruption scheme based on purchasing support for government on deputy's house.

But now it's different. There's nothing to do with internal corruption. We are talking about a foreign help and intromission in Brazil's affairs.

Read what weekly magazine "Veja" published this week:

"Lula's campaign received money from Cuba

Dollars in beverage boxes went to Brasilia (capital) and Campinas (main city of São Paulo state) before reached the Lula's electoral committee in São Paulo. Two former Minister Palocci (economy) auxiliary, assured the story to VEJA. Rogério Buratti and Vladimir Poleto, that transported the money from Brasilia to Campinas in a "Seneca" plane. (Policarpo Junior)

The great interrogation not answered yet about the corruption scandal that involved PT( Worker 's Party) is what is the source of the money that boosted the hidden PT's safe?
This is the question that intrigues the parliamentary commissions and the police investigations. It can be that the PT's forbidden funds came from just one source, but is likely that it origined from various sources.

One of the Veja's investigations , that started four weeks ago, led to Fidel's island: Cuba. Yes. Cuba, where the money is scarce even to buy a door or to put water filter on schools, sent a money avalanche to help Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's presidential campaign in 2002. Details.

Between august and September of 2002 Lula's electoral committee received three million dollars that came from Cuba. The money was guarded by a Cuban named Sérgio Cervantes, known as diplomat in Rio and Brasilia.
From Brasilia, the money was led to Campinas by plane, in three beverage boxes (two boxes of Johnnie Walker whiskey and one box of Cuban Run). The person that took the money was Vladimir Poleto, an economist and former Palocci's auxiliary when he was Ribeirão Preto's Mayor.
In Campinas, the money was taken at the Viracopos airport by Ralf Barquete, another former Palocci's auxiliary from Ribeirão Preto. Barquete came on a blinded black Omega (GM's model), driven by Eder Eustaquio Soares Macedo. From Viracopos, they went to São Paulo (capital) to deliver the boxes at Lula's electoral committee, to PT's cashier Delubio Soares."

This is the core of what was published by Veja. Is it true? Aside from the involvement with Fidel and Chávez on "Sao Paulo Forum" (this relationship is always somehow avoided by the mainstream media in Brazil) these are the developments on the case:

This was published by the opposition blog of Cesar Maia

"BY A CERTAIN WAY, LULA´S GOVERNMENT IS ALREADY PAYING FOR WHAT RECEIVED" (old news)

São Paulo, saturday , September , 27th 2003 -FOLHA SP

"Lula landed in Cuba with some economic gifts

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, 57, landed yesterday in Cuba with economic gifts to dictator Fidel Castro, 77. It will ease the payment of 20% from the debts of R$ 134 million from Cuba to Bank of Brazil and R$ 20 million will be invested by National Economic and Social Development Bank in an a plant that will produce fuel from alcohol."

Another news tell that Sergio Cervantes, the presumed Cuban agent that guarded the money in Brazil, flew back to Cuba in a hurry two days after "Veja" published its story.

But, despite these huge evidences, public is being mislead by the mainstream media that still support Lula: they all blame "Veja" as doing bad journalism and to accuse 'without proof".

But what is the core of "good journalism"? To publish the facts described by "Veja" in a almost ashamed way, only reprinting the text in internal pages while Cuba´s official denying is published in bolder letters on first page ?

This is the kind of press we have here.

"Veja" made good journalism. They described facts, names and dates.
It´s all a smoke curtain to avoid the media – specially the press – to show what´s going on in the basement of Lula´s government.
Today it´s the fifth day after "Veja" has published the subject and all I hear is people blaming the magazine, not the government!!
They try to make believe that´s all lies. That Lula is a candid & naive president, that he and his party are the impersonation of "ethic in politics".

But there are discordant voices:

According to Reinaldo Azevedo – editor of "Primeira Leitura" (First Reading) website
"The reaction to "Veja" talk more about the degradation of politics and the ideological serfdoom that we are being trampled than only corruption itself. In essence, it´s a matter of recognize that there are groups , that consider themselves as being above (and they MUST BE above) any kind of suspect, that the news that put them under disapproval of the public only worth if it has an official administrative act as a proof of evidence"

Another gunshot was provided by philosopher Olavo de Carvalho:

"Crime is not to denounce without final proof : crime is to demand final proof from the start to avoid that they could be found at the end of the process. This procedure is as much intolerable as you see that it comes from the same individuals and groups that, having promoted former president Collor´s impeachment in a hurry without waiting the justice to find the proof of any nature, do not have the minimum amount of honesty to regret in public from their former accusations when , one year later, justice sentenced that the proof simply did not exist. The same elements, in a kafkanian inversion, demand proof not only as pre-requisite to a investigative process (that is the target of any investigation) but as the condition required to ask an investigation, they reveal how hard is the perception in their hearts and minds in the belief that the law must be hard and demanding to their enemies and altruist and smooth to their own. This belief is the undeniable trace of a criminal mind"

Brazil is known as the land of Carnival. We like to use masks, but it´s time to take them off sometimes. We are used to believe in all kind of fairy tales, except the truth.
Only in Brazil that evidences are trade by wishfull thinking and the more reality bites, more people submerge deeper and deeper in their golden fantasies.
We do not need any "invisible" communist agent : we save their efforts, we paint them with evanescent ink ourselves. Only the fool can be fooled.

In a country like this, I hope gramsci´s communist revolution come ASAP!

The sad ending of Fidel Castro:got busted giving money to big-banana president

Fidel Castro is in his all way down to decadance: in the sixties he was a big star on Mad magazine cover, by his strong anti-american position; Today he is on the cover of the main brazilian weekly magazine "Veja" because he gave away dollars to the brazilian president Lula campaing in 2002. In fact it was 3 million dollars hidden in bevarage boxes...

What a sad ending... From Alfred E. Neuman to Lula da Silva. Fidel, please, "don't feed the animals" (Lula is a brazilian word for "squid")
Check out Fidel decadance...

Comment:
Far from the irony, this information is a real "bomb" and might explode worker's party and Lula da Silva expectation for next year. But it's a side effect derived from it. It proves that Lula da Silva is a real traitor of Brazil. He is not my president. He always acted as "São Paulo Forum" president instead of being the real President of Brazil.
Nowadays, it seems that all Latin America has just one man standing tall before his people: President Alvaro Uribe from Colombia.
The rest is in red's hands.

Ban-Gun referendum: Brazil says "NO"

Today is a happy day in Brazil. Finally it seems that the battle is not totally lost.
There is something that's still alive behind decades of gramscian-lefty garbage spread by cultural influence agents.
The "NO" victory over the "YES" (the question was if "You agree with the total prohibition of firearms sales in Brazil?") is a smashing victory. Some exit polls rated it as 70%-30%. An outstanding victory.

But it was not what it seems only two months ago. At that time, some polls projected that "YES" will win over "NO" for more than 80% of the voters. What was involved was a group of powerfull groups: Major Media (TV Globo), Federal Government and even foreign entities like Ford Foundation, ONU and other NGO were figthing hard for "YES". But something gone wrong.

When the public campaign on tv started, people saw musicians, actors and famous-wannabes crying out platitudes or just stupidness towards guns ("guns kills", "it's the struggle between the macho-conservative old Brazil" - those who opted for "no" - "and the modern and democratic Brazil" - those who opted for "YES"). While the NO-supporters just fight for your right to buy and to keep a gun if you wanted - it's an universal right to defend ourselves in a time that government and police doesn´ t do their duties.

People started to get sick about those "shiny happy people" making the peace-dove symbol with their hands...

Nobody expected such change of public opinion. But it´ s done.

Those gramscian social-engineers at federal government had been defeated, at least for this time. But the battle is just begun?
I hope so.
Next year we have another presidential race. It is clear that this referendum got some Lula's Government trial colors.. Let's see.
I will keep to swimming against the red tide. It seems that next year, red's revenge could be harder....

President Lula: confessed guilty

President Lula da Silva, in a very well documented speech, showed no fear for revealing what´s his true motivation as Brazilian president: to help murders, tyrants, dictator-wannabes and red cocaine guerrilla leaders to take control over Latin America.
In fact, Lula has reassured his commitment to a foreign league of suspect nations (Venezuela, Cuba) and obscured left organizations known as "Foro de São Paulo" (Sao Paulo Forum) instead of his duty as President of Brazil.

It has just one name: Treason.

Philosopher Olavo de Carvalho has noted this, because the speech was not wide-spreaded among Brazilian media (of course not, they are part of the plan). Here´s the details:

"In celebration of the 15th anniversary of Sao Paulo Forum, the presidential speech on July , 2th that was reproduced by the o fficial government´s internet site (http://www.info.planalto.gov .br/download/discursos/pr812a .doc)
is a true confession of a conspiration against Brazilian national sovereignity, a graver crime than the whole corruption cases committed and hidden by his government; A crime that would justify not only an impeachment act but also putting him under arrest.

The meaning of these phrases , once detached from its verbal garbage container, is clearly hurtling:

'On the purpose of the Sao Paulo Forum, comrade Marco Aurelio has developing an extraordinary role on consolidating what we started in 1990. That was the way that we, in january 2003, proposed to our comrade President Chávez the creation of the "Group of Friends" to find out a peaceful solution that – thanks God – happened in Venezuela. And this only possible through political acts made by 'comrades'. It was not a State's political act from one to another or from a President to another. For those who remembered, Chávez participated in one of the meetings that took place in Havana. And thanks to this relationship it was possible to build , among many political divergences, the consolidation of what happened in Venezuela, by the 'referendum' that confirmed Chávez as President of Venezuela.

This was the way we could act inside other countries with our comrades from the social movement, political parties from those countries, from the union's syndicate movement: always using the relationship built at Sao Paulo's Forum to afford us to talk about it without people seeming it as any kind of political interference'

What is implicitly admitted above is:

1) Sao Paulo's Forum is a secret entity or at least it's hidden from the public.

2) This entity actively interfere on internal affairs of many Latin American nations, taking decisions and influencing the occurrences' way outside from the government, parliament, justice or public opinion overlooking.

3) The so called "Group of Friends of Venezuela" was nothing more than an arm, a façade agency of Sao Paulo Forum.

4) After was elected in 2002, Lula da Silva, at the same time that left his duty as Sao Paulo Forum President, seeming that he was free to lead Brazil government without any compromises with foreign alliances, kept working clandestinely to the forum, helping to produce results in Venezuela´s referendum in 2004.

5) The orientation of Brazil's foreign political were not decided by Lula - President of Brazil, but Lula – president of Sao Paulo Forum.

The president confessed that submitted the country to decisions took by foreign persons in an entity whose actions must not to be known nor to be understood by the Brazilian people".

But to those that thinks it is just a misunderstood statement, Lula added new clues to his treason this week, in a meeting with Communist Party of Brazil.

Read the translation:

"Lula admitted to communists the he did not succeeded to implement big social changes defended by the Brazilian left because he is in a presidential regime that adopted a parliamentary constitution and not to have a majority on the congress. 'We are far from building the dream that we hoped for decades' added"

That meeting is the 11th Communist Party of Brazil. This party still believe in the communist revolution. This party still supporting the Workers Party government. Lula acknowledges it and thanked the party's president for his loyalty.

If Lula's still president of Sao Paulo forum – cause still adopting their decisions, and if Lula still have support from the communists, where did the "transformation" of Workers Party go? Nowhere, it was just a marketing plan that, unfortunately, worked very well.

Worker's Party, The Sao Paulo Forum and the Communists are still in the fight to recover in Latin America what was lost in Eastern Europe and Russia. And Lula da Silva is their finest agent.

So help us God.

We don´t need natural disasters, We have president Lula da Silva

This is an amazing article by the brazilian neocon Reinaldo Azevedo.
Reinaldo is the editor of a magazine/website called "Primeira Leitura" ("First Reading"). During Fernando Henrique Cardoso´s government, "Primeira.." used to be the spokenperson of brazilian main social-democrat party - PSDB. But since Lula da Silva was elected, it begun to swerved to the right and conservatism.

This text explain why we (the conservatives) are so depressed by the politics in Brazil.
I tottally agreed with except for the part that imposes the guilt for the dead in NO to GWB. But Reinaldo is brazilian and this is the regular thinking here...

Unfortunately this text is in portuguese but here´s some excerpts.

We have Lula. We don´t need natural disasters.
by Reinaldo Azevedo

"Well, we are lucky, indeed! As composer Chico Buarque used to say, we 'came across'  a territory whose tectonic plates are old and stable, didn´t they? I started to think that even in the nature there´s no thing like 'free lunch': to get even with this smooth nature, the intense way that we mistreated our own history equals to many earthquakes in a row. Do you want to know it?  More than 40 thousand people die in Brazil every year as victims of firearms, it´s higher than the Pakistan´s earthquake death toll (23 thousand to date) and forty times of the number of victims of the Hurricane Katrina. And our government had a 'brilliant' idea to lower this number: to disarm the victims, not the criminals.

Despite the war in Iraq, Bush could be terminated by those thousand deceased in New Orleans. American people could forgive a war if it was for a good reason, but they do not accept unmotivated lack of action. It turns  out to be unpatriotic. People that do not rebel against tax bad use & robbery deserve to live under the whiplash, indeed. The United States are a great nation. And Brazil is an unimportant nation. Only angered people don´t see this".

Brazil: Disarming delinquents or the good people?

Brazil is going to prohibit the sales of firearms. It's another step towards socialism.

Is relevant to say that the carrying of firearms are already prohibited since 2004. This "referendum" is just to confirm if the sales has got to be the same ending.

The referendum is dividing the nation, but not the Main Stream Media: While southern states - like mine - the "NO" (yes, the question is confusing "Do you approve the prohibition the sales of firearms?") will win for a large margin; people who got the facts turns to "NO" too, the major opinion among "decision makers", newspapers, TV network is the opposite.
After a year with firearms sales prohibiton, with no descend in the crime rate index, when the reasons do not prove themselves, MSM, social analyzers, philosophers and other insist that "disarming" people is a "victory" for modernity over the "conservative", "violent", "macho", culture.

The left supports it for three reasons:

  • Stalin, Hitler, Castro did it.
  • It´s another marxist culture warfront against conservatism.
  • The left see "penises" in every gun they see and they have to fight it.

This article from "Destaque Internacional" explains exactly my point of view on the case.

Brazil
: Disarming delinquents or the good people?

One hopes that common sense will prevail in the next referendum due to be held on the 23rd. October when voters will decide for or against the sale of firearms, remembering that if registered firearms in the hands of the public is to be considered against the law, then only outlaws will remain armed.

1. Next October 23rd. there will be a referendum in Brazil to decide whether or not to prohibit the sale of firearms and ammunition to individual members of the public. It is the first referendum of this nature to be held anywhere in the world. In 2003 Congress approved the Disarmament Law (Law nº 10.826 of 23rd. December 2003) which prohibits the carrying and use of firearms by individuals, even if the said firearms are registered with the local authorities, and thus made it even more difficult to possess firearms in ones home.

2. The Brazilian authorities allege that these prohibitions would decrease the high death rates by use of guns, which amount to about 40 thousand deaths per year. Although, according to some authorities, with statistics and common sense at hand, suggest that the use of illegal firearms account for these high figures rather than with legally registered firearms. But it can also be said that the Disarmament Law and the referendum to prohibit the commercialization of firearms and ammunition might provoke a negative result in disarming honest people, leaving individuals to their own fate with crooks, assailants, rapists and drug traffickers who will continue to be armed simply because their weapons are not registered anyway, anyway, as well as not having a fixed abode and are not, of course, concerned with laws. Quite apart from which, the State cannot control all public areas so that gangsters and robbers can be as free as wolves in a chicken run!

3. It is estimated that there are over 20 million illegal firearms in Brazil – mostly obtained thru robbery as well as contraband into the country – and some 2 million registered firearms. What the authorities should do is to increase security for the public's benefit and try to recuperate stolen weapons, and not impede the use of legally registered firearms. Over the past few years insecurity has increased tremendously in this gigantic and important South American country, with the Brazilian drug traffickers increasing their power and establishing alliances with the Colombian FARC drug barons and guerillas, also encamping Korean and Nigerian drug traffickers who have started to enter large Brazilian cities, and often characterized by use of extreme cruelty. Brazilian prisons are now notorious as "crime headquarters" and "crime schools" which teaches inmates how organized crime works.

As if this wasn't enough, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), are now financing and defending criminals rights using overseas donations, giving them legal aid so that they can escape Justice and obtain the smallest possible punishment or shorter prison terms. It is well-known that Brazilian leftists, including the so-called Catholic Left, on mass, defend prohibition of legally registered firearms. The pro-Cuban movement of rural workers without land (MST), responsible for a good many farm invasions and violence in rural areas, also favors in the plebiscite the prohibition of sale of firearms and ammunition which, should it that position win, will make them feel as wolves in a hen-house.

4. Serious problems surrounding public security cannot be resolved with the disarmament of honest, law-abiding citizens. Nor must we forget that violence has deeper reasons, overall moral causes, i.e., religious crisis which affects society, family, public, educational, ecclesiastical institutions, etc. And they are more important than economic problems.

5. International statistics show that there is not a relationship between assassination indexes and residences which possess firearms. In Brazil there are 27 homicides per 100 thousand inhabitants, and the percentage of residences with registered firearms is 3.5%. In the United States, for example, there are 6 homicides per 100 thousand inhabitants (4.5 times less) and the percentage of households with firearms is 52% (14 times more). In Italy there are 2 homicides per 100 thousand inhabitants (13 times less), and 17% with registered household firearms (4 times more). And likewise, one can detail these sort of figures in the same context and apply this to innumerous countries.

6. We hope that in Brazil, next 23rd. October, common sense will prevail and voters should remember that if firearms in the hands of law abiding citizens will become illegal, only outlaws will have firearms.
